Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwitzerlandThe room is huge and it was very clean and comfortable. The Wifi is also fast and the location is great. The mercado No. 2 is only a 10 minute walk away and other restaurant are even closer. Furthermore, the host is very friendly and helpful. She told us how to use the city's public transport and gave us some tips on where to go and what to see.

United KingdomThe lady working was very lovely and very friendly. Our room was massive although the only external window looked onto the other half of the room but it was good for a night. Very close to various restaurants. We were able to leave our bags there after we checked out which was great and they had a little seating area you can wait in although it was outside.

FranceThere is no sign outside with the name of the hostel, so make sure to look out for the number of the house and simply ring the bell. And be aware that you can't borrow a hairdryer (not a big deal but good to know).
Nice, simple and clean room and bathroom. The shower was really hot. Good localisation, 10min walk to the Kennedy Park. A supermarket and a good sandwich shop not too expensive at 1min walk each, and a few econonomic restaurants around (14 soles the menu). The host answered all our questions and know her city very well.

The room was very very clean, and the bins were emptied frequently. The host was fantastic and always quickly ready to help us with things (like cutlery and amenities). She also kindly allowed us to stay past check out time, as our flight was at 9pm. The WiFi is excellent and had 2 zoom meeting without any issue. Showers are hot with clean toilets. Overall I really recommend if staying in Lima as it is affordable, clean and in a great location, with many restaurants and the Indian market 5 mins away.

United StatesLocation could be better for Miraflores. Also, here is a locked gate to enter first where you have to ring a bell. Guests come and go during all hours of the night so it can be loud. You also hear the doorbell when they arrive.
Staff was wonderful in assisting us. The bed is decent. I’d recommend for a one night quick stay.
