Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesEverything! It's a beautiful, special place. The food was excellent. The rooms were incredible, we had our own private fireplace. The grounds were beautiful. There is even a labyrinth.

LuxembourgI regret we never had the full tour around the property 🤭
Las Casitas was such a nice place to stay, it has unbelievable energy, we even extended our stay (twice). The territory is wonderful with a garden, which smelled so nice, and dedicated yoga place. The school that the owners support is a very important project for the community. We really looked forward to returning ‘home’ every day in the evening, walking through the garden, lighting a cosy fire.. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, breakfast was great (as well as lunch and dinner), all amenities worked excellent. I would be very happy to return here one day, it definitely added many good memories to our trip and stay in Urubamba.

Beautiful oasis in the sacred valley. Whole hotel felt so secluded and relaxed, with beautiful grounds. Rooms were large and cosy, with fireplaces and massive bathrooms. Breakfast was lovely each morning, dinner at the hotel was really top standard and staff were lovely. Plus all the profits go to supporting the school so you feel good for staying there!

United KingdomNothing to dislike. The plug didn’t work in the bath - perhaps to prevent flooding?
The property was well designed and stylish. We particularly liked the bathroom and the gardens. We only stayed for one night and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We had to leave at 5am, breakfast was provided for us and our luggage was looked after while we went trekking.

GermanyIt is an amazing place! The people there are so kind, the food was great (make sure to have lunch here) and the rooms are amazing and so cozy! The foundation for the school is such a great project that should be supported! Ask for a tour and a talk on the project while your there.

United StatesThis place is amazing!! If you are looking for relaxation, and to recharge, this is THE place to do it. The grounds, the staff, the setting, all perfection. They will help you with anything you ask... Taxi's, tuk tuks, box lunches, pizza delivery! Nothing is too much. Rooms are spectacular, bedding and beds exceptional. And the place is so quiet and peaceful. Fantastic stay!

United StatesThe entrance through the school grounds was initially surprising but once we learned more about the mission it made total sense.
Las Casitas del Arco Iris is a magical place. Stunning grounds rain or shine. Wonderful staff and peaceful energy. Large rooms with plenty of space but fireplace to make it cozy.

This hotel is one of the most wonderful places I've ever stayed. It's hidden away in the valley surrounded by nature and mountains. You stay in a beautifully decorated bungalow with every detail made to perfection. The staff were super nice and went far and beyond to make us feel at home. The food is also amazing and top quality. Plus it's nice to know the money also goes to the school!

United KingdomThe breakfast was a real disappointment compared to other hotels and homestays in Peru. Maybe it was just a one off and not typical but it was certainly a meagre affair.
The hotel has a fabulous location near the mountain and surrounded by trees. It is situated a long way back from the main road road passing through Urubamba in an very quiet location. The gardens are beautiful and the whole place has a feeling of peace and tranquillity. The room was incredibly spacious , very comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was enormous , the shower perfect and everything worked well. The room had a wonderful balcony overlooking the garden where we were able to have a beer and dinner. In the morning we were awakened by lovely birdsong. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. In my opinion it is certainly a much more pleasant alternative than staying in what was a very overcrowded Ollantaytambo.

ArgentinaThere is a school at the front of the hotel and the noise is SO loud that you can not work or do anything. I was expecting to work during the morning while having breakfast but was almost impossible. In addition to that, the wifi works poorly (specially in the rooms). The room was gorgeous but unfortunately was very cold and I couldn’t use the jacuzzi because there wasn’t hot water, nor the fireplace as the room got plenty of smoke and the fire turned off quickly. This feedback was shared with the owner of the hotel and she was nice but couldn’t resolve any of the things. Hope the feedback is helpful as the place is not cheap, and also it has great potential to improve and be more proactive on these things.
The place is beautiful and surrounded by nature. The room is very spacious and the hotel has a very nice mission. However, I think it would be good to highlight some points so that they can improve.
