Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandI liked it all - just be aware you have to carry your bags (or your taxi driver will) about 150m on cobbles to get to the accommodation, although Liz organised someone to take our bags back down soo all in all is was easy peasy.
Liz was an amazing hostess and helped us a lot with good suggestions. The location is excellent and breakfast was great. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Can't recommend this place enough!

United StatesKamma Guest House was perfectly located, with a stream outside our window adding lovely ambiance. Our host was kind and helpful, packing breakfast for our all-day excursion, and allowing us to use the rooftop after dark to view the stars (amazing with the adjacent ruins). We had a triple room for our family of 3, with the best shower we had in Peru! We would definitely return.

SwitzerlandEverything was clean, the bed was very comfy and the shower was hot (a nice change considering that a lot of places in south America advertise having hot water but don't have it actually). The staff was very efficient and nice. The location was also very convenient! All in all, I would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely stay here if I come back in the region!

United StatesDue to the location you'll have to walk a couple blocks on cobblestones with your luggage. We were traveling light so that wasn't a problem, but it is something to be aware of if you are traveling with a large suitcase.
We loved our stay at Kamma Guest House! The location of the hotel is great and very walkable to everywhere you might want to visit in the town of Ollantaytambo. Our rooms were comfortable, and we liked having balcony doors that opened up over the side street. It was also calm and quiet. Liz and the other staff were INCREDIBLE! Two of the three of our group got sick while staying at Kamma Guest House, and Liz helped our third friend bring us breakfast in bed and made us hot tea. She also gave us great advice on what to call medications at the pharmacy and where to go for food options. When we were feeling better, we really enjoyed the rooftop terrace and eating breakfast there with views of the ruins. We are very grateful for not only our stay but for the care we received while staying at Kamma Guest House!

United StatesThe place is hard to reach by car, you will need to carry your luggage for about a block or so, but you can also ask the front desk to help you find a luggage carrier and they will call one for you for free. You just need to tip the person helping you.
Staff was super friendly and very helpful. The hotel is clean and near the main square. Breakfast was really good and the views from the rooftop were amazing. Very quiet and relaxing spot. I will definitely stay there again.

United StatesEverything was truly perfect!
We had an incredible stay at Kamma Guest House! The location was perfect in the historic area of the town and was a very short and pleasant walk to the main square and the Archeological sites. Liz arranged for a taxi with a great driver to pick us up at Cusco airport and stop at Moras and Moray on the way to Ollantaytambo which was the perfect start to our trip. Liz provided so much helpful information and recommendations and the breakfast on the roof with amazing views was perfect. They stored our bags while we traveled to Machu Picchu and arranged for a driver to be waiting at the train station with our bags when we returned to transfer us back to Cusco. They truly made our trip seamless and I highly recommend staying here to anyone considering it. Our room was comfortable (the shower also had great water pressure) and we had a great view out the Juliet balcony as well.

CanadaThe property was very centrally located, and I felt safe staying there. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, and when I opened the windows slightly onto the balcony, I could hear the babbling Brook, which felt like a spa experience. The breakfast was healthy, delicious and a perfect start to my day. The owners provided a Tea Service which was available 24/7. The owners Liz and Paola were absolutely fantastic! They made my stay amazing and memorable. From the moment they met me in the square to help me bring all my luggage to the property to the moment that I checked out, they were absolutely phenomenal. I would highly recommend this property to anybody thinking of coming to the sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo area. If I ever return, I will definitely stay here again, but this time for longer! Thank you, Liz and Paola. 🙏🤗

United StatesNothing. Everything was great. We would definitely stay there again.
We arrived early in the morning, and they kept our luggage while we explored until check-in time. The room was very clean, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. The room was small, but it had everything we needed and the rate was good. Excellent location near the plaza, but far enough away that it was quiet. We had our window open overnight and had a cool breeze and enjoyed the sound of the running water. Our lovely hostess gave us a detailed map of the town and provided restaurant recommendations. We had to leave early in the morning, and they prepared breakfast sandwiches and fruit for us to take with us. Great stay.
