The property has some quirks, like most of the lights didn't work. Limited parking and so if you are arriving late, you will likely be parking on the road - however it is a quiet town when we were there and so the road wasn't too busy.

The room is clean enough, however not very good sound proof. In the evening we can hear the kids running in the corridor clearly.

However, We were unsure who was staff and who wasn't. I wasn't sure exactly where we were allowed to go. We stayed in a building with the kitchen and lounge, which we found well enough. But there appeared to be a communal area on the far side of the building, perhaps with a pool table but we weren't sure if we were meant to go in there. A man was wandering around the accommodation who may have owned/worked at the place but we were never really sure. When we were leaving he was behind the reception but I was still unsure if he in fact worked there. So just a little more information about where we could go and what was available for us to use would have been great.

Great value for money for a family. In some ways it was great that the key was just left for us and we were just left to it.

On arrival found the vehicle parking to be very tight so we decided to park on the road in front of the lodge which was not ideal. Kitchen area was clean and well stocked with cutlery and cooking utensils. Kitchen layout is an interesting setup, beautiful large kitchen with two separate areas however you are only allowed to use the left hand side area as the right hand side kitchen is only dedicated to lodge management which I found to be distasteful with the lodge being so busy and with no clear signage informing you of this rule.

Our room was clean and tidy, good value for money. Loved the hangout lounges and pool room, all very inviting and comfortable and the lodge is located close to the ski field with lots of amenities like coffee shops and dining areas close to the lodge location.

Parking lot was a nightmare - overcrowded & packed. Quite a challenge to back your car especially when your own or the cars at the back had tow-bars!! There's no wifi passwords provided

Drying room in the building we were in unfortunately did not dry our gear, however there was a great one in the opposite building part of the accomodation.

Room was great and perfect for myself and 2 girls aged 11 & 12. Definitely had room for 5 if we had extras and wouldn't get in each others way. Was quirky but very comfortable and extremely clean. We have rebooked for the next school holiday to stay at Howard's again.

Please keep an umbrella in the reception as some travelers may not carry it. It was poring when I arrived, but as we didn't have an umbrella we found it very challenging to take out our luggage from the car, and we got wet in the cold.
