The hotel is next to the fast ferry so it is really easy to get here from Stavanger. Monika was very responsive to our messages, and arranged a taxi for us so we could start our ski tour. The hotel is simple and clean and comfortable. The self-service breakfast was excellent and we had everything that we wanted. Sand is a beautiful place, and our room had a lovely view of the fjord.

No WiFi available. Nowadays it is a big disadvantage. Even though we received the information the WiFi is available in the hotel, it was impossible to connect.

The lady in the reception was super helpful and kind. Available any time we needed. The breakfast room and self service is great idea and option. Rooms were big and comfortable, bathrooms however a little outdated.

The shower was miserable "low-flow" so it took some time to get wet. Parking is limited.

I had stayed there before and knew what to expect. Breakfast was simple but nice. Room was nice and clean.

The great location and extremely good attitude from hotel's personnel. This is the excellent place for the quick overnight stop or even for a bit longer stay if you want to discover the region.

Get prepared for a self service breakfast (with no staff at all) and only cold food. The atmosphere is of the 70s / 80s

1970-style hotel; not much changed and perfect for a little travel back in time. However, if you don't fancy the 1970s, still good reason for a stay; very welcoming receptionist/ manager and good self-service breakfast. Actually, you are invited to make a sandwich supper free of charge as well, comes in handy as most things are closed in Sand at night. Comfortable room, I got one with a fjord view.

The terrasse, tables and chairs were not clean in this beginning of the season. Most of the chairs were rusted. What a pity as it is a sunny place to enjoy the evening in June. The carpets in the entry and the stairs need also to be renovated.

The self service breakfast but we were only 4 people this morning, otherwise it would be certainly more complicated.

The hotel has a 70s feel, bathroom was old-fashioned (but functional) with shower curtain (like almost everywhere in Norway), so overall, in need of a upgrade, but it definitively has a style... The village is quite small, so limited food and entertainment options, specially on a sunday evening, although mid-august...

Hotel located in the center of the village, 50 m from the lake, walking distance from the Salmon river. Large room, we had view on the lake (with roofs in between us and the lake). Reception was closed (sunday) but I called the telephone number written on the reception's door, the lady answered immediately, the key was available in a safe box, no problem. The day after, reception lady was there, very kind and helpful, she is alone to run the hotel, so quite a busy task, but she was fantastic. Breakfast was varied and good, on a self-service basis. Parking right in front of the hotel, so convenient ! Reasonably priced.

We didn't realize ahead of time that no one would be on site when we arrived and checking in was self service. Also - the decor could use some upkeep - the carpeting is pretty worn.

The location was perfect for our needs. The WIFI was great. The breakfast was good and very convenient. Dominicka was very courteous and helpful and went above and beyond for us.

Unfortunately, some of the bread provided in the breakfast room was moldy.

Quite simple hotel but had everything we needed. Nice little self-serve breakfast room which exceeded our expectations. Lots of things to choose from.
