It was a small room. That maybe the standard for the average price for a room for solo traveler.

Our room was at the first floor and the street outside the windows was very busy with traffic and often noisy.

The location is great for walking to almost every place we wanted to see. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.

I knew my room had a single bed, but I found it a little small. It wasn't uncomfortable, just narrow.

From my past experience with Scandic, breakfast never disappoints, and Scandic Byparken's still managed to exceed my expectations. The location was also perfect for my itinerary.

I put the label of "please come and clean my room" and no one did. The toilet can have better ventilation.

no bathroom carpet, so you risk flooding the bathroom when taking a shower (It's a common issue in Norway, according to my experience!). Our room wasn't very quiet, I think because of the windows not that thick (so maybe better ask for upper floors)

Well located hotel, 5 minutes walking from the train and bus station and 10 minutes from Bryggen. you risk flooding the bathroom when taking a shower. Very good breakfast.

It is a old style hotel. The facility has ages.

We have chosen the lucky week. It is university openning week. They could party everyday. The first night, we were lived next to street which 'enjoyed the party with them'. It is appreciated that the staffs helped us changed the room next day to get better comfortable sleep night. Btw, they have a wonderful breakfast everyday.

Our room was above the front door, we had excellent views but we were also above an automatic traffic crossing which peeped all night. We also have the noise of the Friday night crowds going home.

It was a bit noisy outside at night however it didn’t stop us sleeping.

no air in the room, so must open the windows...outside is a street sign that beeps constantly to announce cross walk ....it was extremely irritating and we had to wear ear plugs and play music, or YouTube to keep it out.....it was unusually warm for Bergen, do needed the air! not the hotels fault, but take a smaller interior room.

Very Small room for 3 people. Bathroom also too small. Also, the vehicle noise next to the hotel is also annoyed.

The room facilties were underwhelming and looked nothing like what they advertise for a Standard Queen room. The room felt very cramped and had barely any floor space to open suitcases, we could shove one large suitcase and carryon suitcase under the bed but had to pull them out every time we needed something. There were no bedside tables and the bed was pushed against the wall, so it made getting into and out of bed difficult for me. Our window faced an inner alley where the garbage bins are kept, we were on the 5th floor so there was no issue with smells but it was quite disturbing to me who is a light sleeper every time the staff had to throw stuff out one would hear the garbage bin lids slamming shut.

It was a great location to the City Center and Restaurants. Everything was within walking distance. Breakfast was great, we had so many options to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Happy that they had a small fan in the room as it felt quite warm at nights and appreciated having a mini fridge to keep stuff cool.
