Altough the central location in the city life center, right at the exit door, just a few meters away, there was the constant presence of drug addicts. Altough there was never a problem, sometimes at arrival, we would see police units having to deal with them. Easily a dozen would be roaming at any time of the day there, while nevwr posing any danger (at least to me), the insecurity feeling is always present

While the location is central, our rooms overlooked a known drug corner. We were told it is monitored and rarely caused a problem. That was true - at no time did we feel unsafe and we did see volunteers. But it was disconcerting. Also, the bathroom design leaves something to be desired. It looks cool, but the shower gets the whole floor wet because there is no door or curtain.

The staff was great. I liked the unusual decor, and the breakfast was on point! The grocery store downstairs was very convenient (and there is a post office in there).

The service we received throughout check-in and trying to organise an early take away breakfast was below par. Tea and coffee is available, but not in the room (well, at least not ours) - it is down in reception. The room was not at all like the pictures on Booking.com - our room had a huge skylight, which was the roof and no way to cover it up. We were there in summer, so it was bright the whole night. There was no mention of this on checking in or anywhere else (and we didn't book the cheapest room). Bottom line, this is a hotel, not an Airbnb, they should be delivering better for the price we paid

The location was perfect for exploring Bergen centre. The breakfast was brilliant and served in a great environment. The staff were really helpful, especially when I left my camera in the room. They arranged to have the camera sent back to the UK for me.

The hallway to the lifts was scruffy and not pleasant. One reception staff was totally indifferent to guests needs.

The parking situation was not what we expected. They advertise hotel parking available nearby but it is in fact just a discount at the garages in the city. The closest garage was 10 minutes away. Finding the hotel was very difficult, you have to enter the grocery store to get to the front door. The black matte look shows the dirt and lack of cleanliness. The coffee machine didn’t work.

The location was great! Super central and in a cute square. Lots of nice restaurants and bars on the same street and even directly connected to the hotel. The hitel decor was very cool and had a lot of potential. The restaurant was nice and the breakfast was good.

There was no circulation of air in our room. We couldn’t open the windows so it got a bit stuffy at night.

Parking was hard to find in the city center. Lots of cops around at night which made us feel a little on edge

Location was perfect as it was centrally located and within walking distance of all the major sites we wanted to see. Buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day.

Rooms were quite warm during the summer months.

The breakfast was great and the location being a block off Bryggen cannot be beat! The staff was super helpful and welcoming, and made any request seem like nothing.

The room could’ve had better lighting. Unfortunately the hotel is located across from a shelter . Drug addicts were seen regularly near by and were often noisy at night, although they did not seem to bother or approach tourists. Room windows had to be closed due to noise. (We were on the third floor at the back, room 324). Our friends had a junior suite, 2nd floor, corner room (really big with a sofa & bed) . They saw all the street level action and heard noise throughout the night.
