From how it was advertised it was not obvious that the property is not part of the fishing huts. Instead it’s in the back of a more industrial area of the small town yet far away from shops or restaurants. For that it’s quite pricey

The tiny bay by which the rorbu is situated can be smelly from time to time due to algae.

The two-bedroom appartment/ rorbu was fantastic and very well equipped. The location was good as you can easily reach Kvalvika Beach, Mannen and Henningsvaer by car.

The rooms are in actual old fishermans housing so the sound proofing is not great but people seem to be considerate of this. Heard a little bit from the neighbours in the morning but nothing that actually kept us up at night. Bedding was not included in the price. You can rent it on the spot and make the bed yourself, but I think this could just be added to the price so that you can arrive into a freshly made bed.

This place has a great atmosphere that seems to keep up the old-time fishing spirit. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and included a small kitchen and bathroom. To our surprise it even had a little terrace where one could look over the bay. We however chose to sit at the bar terrace as it had some amazing woodwork of eagles and fishes and a bunch of fish drying in the salty air. Definitely a recommendation if you are looking for an authentic experience in a small fishing village in Lofoten.

It wasn’t obvious to me when I booked that towels and bed linen were not included so we were surprised to have to pay extra. As the accommodation was advertised as a rorbu, I was slightly disappointed that we weren’t in a stand-alone building but just in part of a larger building. It didn’t quite have that rorbu feeling I was expecting.

They should mention during the booking that you need to buy bedding at the counter ( approx. 100 nok/ bedding) and is not included in the booking fees. Our house was the first from so the area outside the Pier smelled really bad, maybe the water level was really low and had no internet connection at all. There are two floors in the house, we were in the ground floor and could hear the footsteps(really loud) from the guests above. Finally, kitchen didnt have exhaust fan.

Location was really good. Staffs were really friendly, cool interior and big property. Nice clean bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen. Air Condition worked really good.

Paying additional money for bed sheets and towels is simply ridiculous when you pay this price for accommodation! Wifi was working only by the window and not further away. If someone doesn’t have a local SIM card and can use 4/5G it can be a problem, I assume.

The property is situated in a beautiful surrounding, with 5 minutes to the nearest hiking trail. We had quite recently renovated cabin.

There is only a small window for the room so it is difficult to aerate it, it get warm and humid pretty fast. The price was quite high for not having room service every day.

Nice little hotel right on the water. Our room was small but had very comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. A plus was that just outside the room there was a small kitchen which was great for preparing breakfast by ourselves. The hotel is in a very quiet area and is in the perfect location for exploring the surroundings.
