Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicI booked a family room with 4 beds, pictures on the Booking don’t correspond to the real room. The double bed seems to be foldable. Pictures are confusing. It was only one room instead of two as I thought. There were no curtains on the roof windows so too much light in the morning.
Authentic accommodation. Very nice rural farm with a nice view to Pico de Teide.

GermanyNothing I didn’t like, just mentioning that there is only manual gas heating it a fire place (but the blankets were more than warm enough) and of course it is located in a more rural area and housing (so be aware of that).
Quiet and beautiful location in the mountains, our junior suite terrace was facing towards Teide and the horses. You can take nice short walks or hikes in the area, or even do horse riding. The crew was really nice and the food at the restaurant local and excellent. We would recommend the experience to everyone as it is for sure unique at Teneriffa!

United KingdomIt was all good. Loved it.
An amazing old-world rustic experience, a million miles from the commercial south of the island. Perfect location to explore this quarter of the island, with fantastic hiking all around. Everything here is both functional and clean, with staff who are welcoming and kind. The meals are hearty and home cooked, ideal for replenishing calories after a day in the mountains. If you are looking for five star opulence go somewhere else, if you want an experience you’ll not forget in a hurry and memories you’ll cherish forever get booking before someone else does!

Czech RepublicWe didn't have warm water in the shower when we arrived in the evening. It was problem to communicate, because no one spoke English.
I liked the atmosphere of the place. Breakfast was good.

AustriaNo hairdryer. WiFi did not work on the room ( for us not a problem, we took the chance to detox from social media). At the restaurant the WiFI work quite badly ( really slow). No phone signal either (could end my book ;))
Great to relax. The energy of this place is somehow magic. The accommodation is simple but offers everything you need. The fireplace is amazing for a quiet and relaxing evening! Food at the restaurant (dinner) very tasty. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Free parking, and very friendly staff. If I ever come back to Tenerife, I will stay here again.

Czech RepublicIn the middle of January, it is a bit cold in the given place. It would therefore be more than pleasant if the fireplace was also lit during the dinner in the dining room (comedor). It would be not only romantic, but also pleasant after the rain.
This is an ideal place for romantics looking for nature, very few people, wonderful views, good local cuisine, etc. And last but not least, the possibility to warm themselves using the fireplace in the room. Moreover, WIFI is only in the dining room, which is only good for you, because you are at least a little cut off from civilization for a few days. Rooms 7, 8 and 9 have a wonderful view of Taigo. We definitely recommend paying extra for them.

PolandI would just suggest to use yellow light candle lamps. Blue/white light is destroying an effect of a candle since fire is yellow not blue.
Absolutely unique place! Quiet, reclusive, and tranquil volcanic stone village surrounded by nature with no neighbours within sight. It's a small mini-verse. You can feel like in the games of thrones with wooden floors, stone huts, and fireplaces. We recommend a bit pricier room with the terrace and view on del Teide see photo). The ability to make a fire in your room and take a shower in stone baths is priceless. Affordable and very tasty dinner (45 eur per 2 courses + house wine per two ppl). buffet breakfast included. Horses, waking paths, trails nearby. Perfect escape from the city life and the touristic Tenerife island. PS. WiFi is available only in the common area, not in the room, so if you want to work there, it's sth to keep in mind.

PolandThe rooms were a little cold, but we got heaters. There is no phone service in the building and the WiFi is only in the lobby.
Its very cosy and there is a sense of community between the guests. We came around 11PM 2 days before christmas and were received by the family. We have received another room free of charge because there were no rooms with 2 separate beds.

United StatesNothing; there is limited cell coverage as it is remote. The internet is also not very fast; you should not come here if you want to work remotely — as this is meant to be more of an escape from the hustle/bustle.
Sublime quietness and inexplicable peace in the area. Rooms were memorable, and as if going back in-time with tasteful enhancements and upgrades, including fireplace (+wood) and gas heater (if needed). At night you can see the sky with virtually no light pollution. I will stay here again for more than 1 day next time.
