Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThere were some maintenance issues such as a faulty light, toilet flush buttons, and a damaged light shade, but nothing dramatic. More annoying was the small bedroom with a double bed sqeezed in and the lack of a wardrobe or even a place for the suitcase - just the floor. Also, there toaster shown in the listing was not there and the owner did not respond to my question about it.
The floor heating was nice and the living space was good.

AustraliaHaving to make and unmake beds. Not having simple supplies like shampoo, or oil, pepper, sugar, coffee, coffee machine filter papers as we booked based on that expectation. Stairs are quite steep.
Nice centrally located apartment, short walk to station, port, old town and funicular, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Reasonably well equipped kitchen. Although mentioned in other reviews, the only cooking supplies are those left by other travellers but detergent was supplied for both dish and clothes washers. Nice little balcony, place was quiet overnight and clean.

AustraliaStairs to the third floor were narrow and steep, perhaps provide a photo. Only noise was from apartment above, that was quite loud at times from footsteps. The bed linen needs to be checked for tears and stains before being left for the guest to make the bed. No microwave.
It was easy to walk around the city from there during the day. Had all the utensils etc you would need to cook, including oil. The unit was warm and cosy. Met my needs as a solo traveller.

Also fridge made a terrible noise all night which was very frustrating for the bedroom next to the kitchen !

United KingdomThe stairs were steep. We knew it was 3 floors up but very difficult to navigate with heavy suitcases The beds were not as stated and were uncomfortable. My travelling companion and I don’t share a double bed so expected the two singles as stated but they were pushed together with bedding only for a double. There was something wrong with the shower as the hot water quickly turned cold. We notified the owners so hopefully that was fixed. These issues were not dramatic and didn’t spoil our holiday but definitely need addressing in the information given in advance.
It was clean. The washing machine was most welcome. The location was perfect. It was really nice to be given a Netflix account we could use.

United KingdomThe beds should be made on arrival. Some of the lights flickered a lot so we couldn’t use them. There wasn’t a heater in every room.
The location was really good and only a short walk from the bus and train station. We were a group of 9 and booked 2 apartments, when we arrived there was no key in the second key box, so I had to ring. They gave us the code to another key box for a similar apartment which was great. The apartment was really clean and the living area really big, some of the rooms were very small though. We had to make our own beds which was a bit annoying (I would expect this to have been done) There was cutlery plates bowls mugs glasses and cooking utensils. Also a coffee machine but no coffee. Overall was nice would stay again.

New ZealandStairs steep and up 3 flights. Had oven but no oven mitt or tea towel to get hot items out of oven. No instructions for oven or dishwasher. Would prefer 2 pillows each. Shower needs good clean at bottom. Black mould that I cleaned off some before using. Did not reply to my sms messages when asking för oven mitt. Update numbers in room book as different from message. But both numbers no one replied. Suggest a mat on balcony that is for outdoor use as one there was like standing on a swamp.
Great location, very handy to Central town. Easy to find. Nice and quiet. Cute balcony with views of two mountains. Nice lounge.
