Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe rooms are stuffy because Oslo was in yet another heat wave. But it is possible to open the windows all the way to cool off at night. The front desk had a fan available when I checked in (but they are limited, so it's worth asking early)
Excellent breakfast and dinners are included in the price. The location is perfect for exploring Oslo, and it's also quiet. The rooms are stuffy, of course, but it is possible to open the windows all the way to cool off at night. The front desk had a fan available.

Also location is good. just 10 minutes to train station by walk. you can go everywhere in the city by walk. I definitely recommend this hotel in Oslo.

BelgiumThe hotel is very crowded. The building is early 70ties, so old. I had a room for a single person, which is 1.34x 4,5m…..

HungaryOne elevator in the new building makes the waiting time too long. The hotel could not provide an umbrella during heavy rain. There is a significant walking gap between the old and new buildings without special warning signs, making the risk of falling highly probable, especially in older adults.
There were big windows and comfortable beds, but the room was in the older part of the hotel. It was a fully equipped room with a large bathroom and the hotel lobby offered free coffee at any time. The breakfast was good, and the dinner was OK, too. The hotel is situated about a 10-minute walk from the city center.

HungaryShower bed was not rimmed and the water from the shower flooded the bathroom every time we used it if we weren’t careful. Sauna and bathroom with shower on the same floor but the sauna was closed and not working during our stay. This was very annoying because we had chosen the hotel just for the sauna and they would not give us a partial refund when requested through booking.com
We had a pleasant stay. Super central hotel, only a 5 min walk from Oslo central station. The room was small but cosy, we liked the Rituals products provided.Afternoon snack, breakfast and dinner buffet are included in the price. There are free tea and coffee available in the lobby all day long. Breakfast buffet was amazing, a variety of savory and sweet items with plenty of healthy choices including eggs, sausages, vegetables, porridge, peanut butter, granola, different types of bread/crisp bread, mini croissants, non dairy and gluten free options, nuts, peanut butter, chocolate spread, jams, juices, non dairy and dairy milk, pancakes etc. the afternoon snack or fika was served between 15 and 17 and I was only one lemon cake (delicious though). The dinner buffet changed menu every night and it was good (one soup, one main with veg/potato, a salad and pasta bar, bread etc) although very few protein options. The gym was ok, it had a squat rack with an Olympic barbell, a bike, treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine, cable machine for back training , two leg curls (one sitting and one prone), but no leg extension (?!), a delt machine, two benches and free weights up to 25kg. Towels provided. Reception staff and waiting stuff was very nice and helpful otherwise.

BelgiumFor my taste the design of the room is little bit to old and the sun light in the room was to less and to overcome this issue they didn't have enough light in the room.
The location is really good and breakfast has everything you need, Also coffee and Tea are all the time available and during your stay you can enjoy the nice "Fika" moment in the hotel.

CanadaNot a big issue, but the rooms & halls could use a coat of paint.
The beds & bedding were very comfortable! The breakfast is extraordinary: Eggs, bacon, beans, salad. cheese, cold cuts, granola, cereals, seeds & nuts, fresh croissants & bread & buns, yogurt, fruit, even smoothies…too much to name. The reception staff were very helpful with tourist info and the staff in the dining room were great - ensuring our food allergies were not an issue. The location is perfect - close to the train station, the waterfront and the Akershus. We walked everywhere, and took the #30 bus to the Bigdoy museums (fantastic!) Take the 1.5 hr harbour cruise - definitely worth it!

The breakfast was varied and good, afternoon Fika a bonus and dinner consisted of a soup, main and a variety of salads. Breakfast and dinner were buffet with plenty for everyone. United KingdomMost things worked very well, but the room size was perhaps slightly small for a double.
Check in and general assistance from the front desk was excellent. Should mention Kat by name for her efforts to assist with transport and directions as well as 'in house' arrangements. Evening buffet was a good bonus. Breakfast was also good, as was the general standard of decor and maintenance. Location was a major selling point in our booking.
