Amsterdam is renowned for its hundreds of floating homes along the canals, and Westerdok25 is one of them, offering a truly immersive experience of the Dutch lifestyle. In my opinion, it’s absolutely fantastic. The cabin is small but cozy, with every detail carefully thought out. For two people, it feels quite comfortable. I highly recommend it to couples looking for a unique getaway, allowing them to fully embrace the charm of beautiful Amsterdam. The only caveat is for older guests, as the steep staircase might be a bit challenging. The location is unbeatable, just a 10-minute walk from Central Station. I also want to take this opportunity to thank Hank, who was incredibly kind and helpful, providing us with plenty of helpful tips and information to make our vacation even better.

The cabin was a fantastic base for exploring the city and it was everything we wanted but just be aware it wouldn't be ideal if you want somewhere you can lounge around with only a chair or the bed as your options. Thankfully we had beautiful weather and an amazing time exploring and just used the cabin as a base and to sleep which was perfect.

A beautiful location and lovely, helpful host. It was a great experience to stay on a house boat and the cabin was lovely. The bed was bigger than we thought it would be and very comfortable.

It takes a while to get used to staying on a boat because everything is on a slight angle, but that's nothing to fault the host for and really just a part of the experience.

Great location. It's close to shops, restaurants, public transport and everything you need, and yet it's a really calm area. Not to mention how beautiful the surroundings are. Hank, our host, was also really nice and helpful. He provided us with a great list of recommendations for cafés, grocery shops, and restaurants to name a few. He even made sure we had fresh flowers which we loved.

The bed is curved as it is on a boat. If two people were staying and over 6 feet they would struggle to fit in the bed (and shower). We were fine as I am quite small and my partner took the “straight” part of the bed.

Very quaint house boat with a lovely host. It was certainly an experience and great for a few nights. The location is very central to everything!

The place is quite small, but expected for a room on a boat. Also the location is a 10 mins walk from amsterdam central and a 20 mins walk from dam square. In the winter this could be challenging as the bus schedule in amsterdam is a bit messy (at least to the boat's location). But overall no problem at all i loved the place, i would recommend it to any tourist:)

I loved how friendly hank(the host) was. He was always very responsive and helpful. Everything we needed was available, very cute and cozy place inside. I loved the views around the boat, i enjoyed very much my night walks back to it. Very safe neighborhood.

Authentic and cool interior with everything you could need. Hank was always super helpful, communicative and gave us some great recommendations for our stay! Great location, close to a nice area with cafes/ bars but also super close to all the main attractions via the trams. Would stay again when we return to Amsterdam!

Very small and not easy getting in and out of the bed for older folk who need to go to bathroom often. Would have liked couple of glasses and freezer compartment in fridge.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Amazing experience, I never thought staying on a boat would be so cozy and comfortable but it was and way more! We read some great things about the hosts, Hank & Onnu, and they really are all that. We were worried it was going to get hot during summer with no air con, but it was actually really chilly at night and great to snuggle in the blankets. Overall will definitely stay here again when we visit in the future

beautiful old boat. staying in a piece of history. a bit different than staying in a hotel. it is in a great location being so close to the station and the main areas of the city, yet it is quiet and not busy.

Such a great location, just a short walk along the canals to central but in a nice, quiet area. The boat was absolutely perfect and exceeded my expectations. It was so charming, very sweet, comfortable and cosy. The hosts, Hank and Unno, couldn’t have been any more welcoming. I would recommend this boat to anyone coming to Amsterdam and we’ll definitely be back to stay again 😊
