Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceCleanliness of the showers was really really bad. The isolation was bad and bed not comfortable.
Good breakfast. Not expensive hotel, that what we were looking for, but the cleanliness is not optimum.

Francelocation was great, 10 minutes walk to the train station. Accommodation was really simplistic but everything that we needed for our short stay. Really good value for money, breakfast in the morning was pretty good, and staff really nice. definitely would recommend and go again.

DenmarkWe didn’t love the showers and bathrooms, seems like other guests walked around dripping water all over the floors and that was a bit nasty.
The location was great and central, with a wonderful view from the breakfast table and dock. The room was small but we didn’t need much more than a place to sleep and we got just that. Luckily the temperature in the room was good too. I liked the sink in the room, it was nice to have.

United Arab EmiratesThe room was too small( and we are not tall people 😄 the bed was so to tiny that we couldn’t even sit on it properly. Wifi signal was too weak in the breakfast area and didn’t reach to our room.
The location was great 😊… walking distance from the Central Station. The view is amazing 🤩… Breakfast was delicious 🤤… Staffs were amazing 😻

United KingdomBathrooms downstairs small and communal, which not everyone left clean. Toilets also available upstairs, which were more spacious and always clean.
Staff were very organised (keys/instructions ready etc. - no unwanted surprises). Amazing breakfast every morning between 8:30 and 10. Coffee/tea provided throughout the day. Cool decor throughout the boat. Common area very relaxed, warm and welcoming. Rooms, though small, were perfect and gave the feeling that you were in a cabin out at sea. Despite the number of people on board, I still felt like I had my privacy/space. Definitely recommend!

United KingdomThe shared showers and loos were not that nice and the wifi was a bit slow. The rooms are quite small, for sleeping they were okay, but otherwise you rather want to sit in the shared space upstairs.
I liked the social space, having access to kitchen crockery and utensils, a microwave, a fridge and also having some board games. The location is great and for a good price. The staff was also very friendly, and having coffee and tea out all the time was a nice touch.

JapanThe rooms are quite small, shared bathrooms that can be clean or dirty depending on whom used it before you, and in the morning all of the things that were on the ground like my luggage, got wet because of the room’s humidity
The location is perfect and the good value (+free breakfast)

United KingdomI would describe this as a floating hostel type accommodation. Anyone used to sleeping on boats will recognise that they can be by nature, damp. So be warned and try and keep the porthole window open to allow air to circulate. The rooms are small which has a charm but three days for us was enough. The walls are certainly not sound proofed.
The location is certainly one of the best qualities of this accommodation. It is a stone's throw from Amsterdam Central Train station which has a wonderful feeder service from the airport and the tram system is amazing allowing you to reach the whole of Amsterdam with ease. Breakfast was as good as expected with cereals and cold meats, yogurts, toasts, crackers and selection of orange juice, teas and coffee available between 8.00 and 1.00. The dining/sitting area has a lovely view across the water. The host, Annie, was lovely, very welcoming and she pointed us to a great Indonesian restaurant which is just off the waterfront and their Indonesian selection plate was full of flavour as was the satay starter. Well priced and if anything too much food.

GermanyThe cabins were VERY small. This is less of a criticism, as there is limited space on the boat, and more of a warning for prospective guests. The facilities were really nice but don’t expect a super large room. Just wasn’t what I expected but with some prior knowledge I’m sure I would’ve still chosen this accommodation.
Perfect location! Communal room was also very comfortable.

CanadaThe rooms are extremely small, smaller than we had imagined. They are only good for sleeping and best for short people :) (bunkbeds). For approximately 16 people (I think there were 8 rooms in total), there were 2 toilets for the ladies and 1 for the men to share and 1 shower each for women and men to share. The breakfast room also had a toilet.
The boat is in a very central location, and the breakfast was good and plentiful.
