We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

North MacedoniaOne day a person from the housecleaning was knocking on my door, yelling to me to open the door. I said I don't need anything, but he kept yelling to open. Once I opened the door, he continued yelling and said how I need to listen to him and was getting more and more aggressive. I told him politely that I am travelling alone and that this is scaring me, not hiding anything but you can't knock and yell like that. After a short discussion he apologized and shared how he needed to check if someone was smoking, which I do understand but there is a nice way to request to check the room, quite an unpleasant experience.
I loved the location; the little square has a lot of restaurants and quite a cozy vibe.

GreeceThe only opportunity was the room we stayed could have cleaner sheet and bathroom curtain as there were some spots on them even though they were washed and clean. They cleaned the room every day.
The location was amazing and it was at the center of Amersfoort. Couldn’t have chosen a better place for King’s day. The huge festival in front of the hotel was a great surprise.

United KingdomThe market square was quite noisy on the Friday night and in the early hours of Saturday morning, but that's too be expected. I had a lot of stairs to climb to my room - it was fine though.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, quite easy to walk from the station. The room was comfortable and warm.

NetherlandsBecause it's right by the square which is filled with bars, beware of noises at night. There is nothing the hotel can do, of course. It's beyond their control and they were kind enough to leave earplugs for guests. But the night can be quite loud and bars are open til 2am. It was a nuisance, I have to admit. I was planning on resting well and sleeping a lot and that wasn't quite possible, which was a shame.
Great hotel. Staff is fantastic. Location is right downtown so that is convenient. Heating is great as well. Breakfast is worth it.
