Wasn't too clean and some things were broken, like the sink, the toilet seat, the beds were full of body hairs. The shower drain wasn't working so the shower was getting full of water.

The staff, very nice people, the prices are pretty fair and it's very well located.

Only one toilet per floor, which we have to share with over 20 people if the rooms are full. The mattress is bigger than the bed frame, doesn’t fit properly and makes an awkward position in angle and male it uncomfortable to sleep. The bed shake a lot and make noise as well.

The location is good, easy to find and close to the train line. Walking distance for a lot of places. The staff was helpful.

You have to pay for everything, even for a lock for a locker €5, if you want to be safe. Their worker, who replaces bedsheets, entered the room when I was standing in one underwear and did not even give one minute to get dressed. This is unacceptable. The mattresses are not comfortable and the bed linen always slips off it. In the shower, the curtains are half torn. Everything looks old and broken

Reception should have opened at 7am as advertised. People had planned their breakfast around this which then didn't happen

Receptionist on arrival was helpful, room was tidy. Reception didn't open the next morning at 7am as advertised which caused marathon runners to miss breakfast. When the emergency number was called there was no answer the first two times then on the third time it was answered by someone in a different hotel.

Very dirty room, stuff was 45 minutes late and justify themselves "the roads were closed" but that Is not an excuse to be so late and let down all the people who chose the place just because it was close to the marathon. Room wasn't clean at all and trash was still in the furniture provided

Due to a things out of myself or the hostel's control I had to add an extra day to my stay which was okay but led confusion on my check out and sadly my sandals were thrown in the trash that left on the floor, when I asked about the cleaner had informed me he'd thrown them away and apologies profusely, of course it's not ideal but it's an honest mistake and can happen to anyone so it's not the end of the world.

It was exactly what I needed for my stay, a place to put my things then off I went to De Toekomst for my training course all then back to sleep, the transport links around were great for this and had a lot of nice places to eat nearby. The staff were very helpful when I needed to check in due to the late arrival from the airport.

The hostel closes the reception at 11 pm and I was a bit panicked because the building was closed and I couldn't call them since I haven't activated international calls on my phone. A kind guy helped me call them and they replied to my call. They had emailed me which I didn't see. The staircase is extremely steep and narrow so if you have luggage, you need to be very careful that you do not trip down. Better to go if you don't have heavy luggage. The room was small and with less lighting. The toilet room was also small hardly enough for one person including the washbasin. I slept in four people's dormitory and the other 3 people came in early in the morning (from 2 am to 5 am) and so for me personally it was impossible to sleep with all the noises they were making. It will be a perfect place if you are able to sleep when others make noises.

The hotel was cheaper so definitely a choice for a short stay. I reached the location by taking a bus from Amsterdam Central station. It was around 20 minutes or so. There is a supermarket in a 1 km radius. Van Gogh museum was also really close. There is also a cake shop for breakfast near the museum. There is also a tram station nearby. I was late by 45 minutes when I was supposed to check-out but the receptionist was really kind to me and very understanding.

Rooms are too crowded and there's no place for 12 beds in a 12 bed dorm.. I had to hug my legs so that my feet wouldnt be next to some guy's face :( Also, the air gets stale in the rooms as its tiny and with so many people in it

Towels were not included, you can buy one for 8 euros. There are only 3 bathrooms for this many rooms. One bathroom even doesn’t have a lock :D There are some lockers, but you have to bring your own lock or buy it from the receptionist.

Bathrooms smelt of sewage and was littered with used toilet paper. Just of note, the bathroom is NOT ensuite so it’s a good idea to bring slippers to go back and forth between your room and bathroom. Also the stairs at the entrance and leading up to the different floors could use a good clean. The room was a bit small.

Location is great, very close to Museumplein and a large supermarkt. Addition of sink was helpful as well for drinking/ basic hygiene. The beds were comfortable, sheets supplied were clean.

I really don't appreciate that the staff didn't refill the soap and toilet paper when I pointed out that I was missing. Especially in these post-corona times that we're living in.

We received unwashed bed sheets (my pillow had stranger’s hair on it and there were different stains on the sheets). The shared bathrooms were also very dirty with mold, broken shower door and no soap. The staff seemed uninterested and it was very obvious that they didn’t care about hygiene.

Great location near the city centre, however, the place was filthy.

There was no space in our room... It was a 8 bed room and it was fine when it was just me and my friend. But when there was like 5 people staying at once it started to get a bit crowded. We all had our bags and stuff and we managed but :'D We could barely move in there.

1. Broken toilet and without hand soap in my bath room, the worst hostel I've ever seen... 2. The room was too crowded and there is no living room in the hostel 3. Don't like that vibe, especially the signs or slogans on the wall 4. Be careful that the reservation is can not be cancelled and the money was totally non refundable
