Expensive compulsory parking fee (no street parking in the area) @ 17,50 per night, bike rental 19,50 per day. Most of the staff did not speak Dutch. Taking the stairs to your room is not possible, but you only notice this when you are at the floor where your room is (the door doesn't open).

Room was clean, temperature was fine but controlling it was not easy. Very nice breakfast with many options.

There was no bag for dirty clothes. There was no set for teeth and shaving. If you are not a member of Hilton honor, the wifi is not for free.

The sewage smell in the bathroom, for both our rooms. The air conditioning, not efficient in one of the rooms (maybe it’s us).

The internet access was complicated (why not just give a straightforward password?). There was no "Don't disturb" card, leading to being disturbed - eventually I made my own card. The shower was in the bath tub - that's possible but not optimal. The parking fee of E17.50 per day is outrageous - many hotels provide parking for free; the system with the little 24-hour papers (apparently one-off) was also disfunctional twice (did not work at gate) and cumbersome because one might have to queue up to get the papers every time again.

The room was reasonably spacious. Breakfast was good. There was a refridgerator in the room (should be standard, but there's a hotel in the centre of Leiden which does not have one, so it was good to encounter one here).

Nothing apart from the price, which was on the high side I thought, both for the accommodation and the food.

Quality of accommodation was exceptional, as were the staff, willingly serving us food just an hour before the kitchen closed.

The little fridge in our room didn't work (which we needed for dog food). This was not possible to resolve during our stay.

This is a good place to stay with your dog. Indeed, there were quite a few dogs at the hotel when we stayed. They charge only 50 euros as a cleaning fee for your pet for the entire stay. Located just outside Leiden, there are green areas around for walks.

It felt a bit impersonal but this was a minor point.

The breakfast was fantastic. Really liked the big bath room with the actual bath and a separate shower room with a rainfall shower head. We really liked it that we could park our bikes downstairs.

As a clean freak I didn't appreciate the cleaners not cleaning the floor on a daily basis in the bedrooms

Lack of ventilation or air-conditioning in the room meant we had to sleep with the window open which let in noise from the nearby road.

The restaurant menu could have more variety of choice. The location is pleasant but far from the city by walk and there are not other choices for dinner around.

Personel at the reception is very kind. Rooms are modern, very clean and confortable.
