We had to ask numerous times for our towels to be changed on the third day. The breakfast was very basic. There was a serious lack of kitchen utensils to cook. There were times when there was hardly any water (which would have been fine had we been told about it beforehand).

The suite we had was really nice and spacious. It was really close to the beach so our kids could go on their own.

The location of the property is close to the beach BUT if we wanted to get to it or to the town we had to do it through the knee deep muddy water on the streets. The water from the rain didn't go anywhere at all and it started to smell like sewage. The whole island smells like sewage anyway. And walking in this water became unbearable so we left the islad early. The surrounding of the building is full of garbage, some construction leftovers and smelly brown water. Bad smell like sewage was also on one side of the building. This made the stay really unpleasant.

The apartment was spacious. The staff were nice and friendly and trying their best. The pool area is nice.

The size of the apartment was very spacious and comfortable for my family of seven. The kitchen had all of the amenities that you could need and the air conditioning worked well. We loved the view from the balcony of the ocean and enjoyed the pool. The complex was very well kept and the front desk was happy to help in any way.

That the roads surrounding the hotel were impassable by foot.

This is a well kept, small property. The suites are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The area around the property is not walkable due flooded streets, but we got around fine using the local motorized transport. The free breakfast is limited, but for a few dollars, we paid for breakfast from the menu and enjoyed the chilaquiles, huevos rancheros and pancakes. Everyone at the property is super friendly. We didn’t use the small pool, but saw little kids enjoying themselves. The suites have air conditioning and basic kitchen appliances. Lots of space. I would highly recommend Deluxe to families with young children or large groups.

Fan/lighting situation could be fixed. The pull cords were broken.

Location was great. The grounds very pleasant and dreamy. Fantastic pool, perfect size for kids and adults (although no real shallow end for kids). Great setup for breakfast even though basic. We stayed for 2 weeks with our 6 yr old and 1 yr old and it could not have been better. Beds were comfortable, staff was so lovely and responsive. I would not hesitate to stay there for again with out family. Great quiet beach right down the road. About a 10 minute walk into town. I miss this place!

We didn’t get fresh towels in 4 nights.

Our apartment was beautiful and spacious with a lot of light and greenery. The facilities were small and private and felt cozy. The breakfast and pool area was nice.

A lovely and atmospheric hotel. The staff were friendly and a special mention to the hotel caretaker who did a thorough job of keeping the area clean. We stayed in two different rooms because we enjoyed our stay and extended our visit. Both apartments were clean and beautiful. The rooms had a stove, frying pan, kettle, coffee maker and cutlery. Breakfast was light but good enough, no complaints. Restaurants and services are close by, you can walk along the beach in 10 minutes. This is a good place to relax.

Not much to dislike. We were happy using our bath towels all week but would have liked a new kitchen towel every other day or so during the cleaning service. Maybe another frying pan would have been useful. However, lots of pots that worked.

The staff were on site 12 hours a day and ready to help with anything. They also checked in every night before leaving to see if we needed anything. Loved our three bed apartment and rooftop terrace. Easy two block walk to beach ( other than navigating around the puddles). Quick walk to town. More quiet area. Great walks along the beach to either end of the island.

There were some maintaining works going on so one day we came to a quite mess on the balcony with no explanation. They came to clean it later as we were sitting there though. We booked a room with breakfast, but what comes as breakfast was ridiculous. Toast with jam and something I can't even call butter and fruit. Nothing else. Not possible to even have a tea. This is not a breakfast to me, even hostel did better.

Stunning room and pool area. We've got a bottle of wine on arrival, but no bottle opener in the kitchen. Located close to the beach.

It’s not so much about the property, more about Holbox in general, seems very overrun with tourists and price gauging is a constant battle from the taxis to the massages and food.

Included breakfast is toast and jam with fresh fruit. It is served supposedly from 8.30 to 10.30 but everything had run out when we went down at 10!

Spacious 3 bedroom apartment, with own roof terrace, 10 minutes walk from town and 5 minutes from the beach (assuming there are no puddles to navigate). It is in a quiet location. Friendly staff check in with you before closing down for the night.

Getting to the beach was very difficult, although it is only about a block, you had to wade through a number of very large puddles. These puddles were 3-4 feet deep of mucky brown water and were there for the full 2 weeks we stayed there.

It was a nice property with good amenities. The staff were extra helpful and very nice to deal with.

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Spacious 3 bedrooms. Full kitchen. Steps from the beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, and the food from the small bar (ceviche, chicken fingers) was delicious. It's away from the centro area and is quiet at night. Lovely hotel.

Like we were expecting from some reviews the breakfast is literally just toast with butter and some fruit.

All the staff was super friendly and helpful! Everything went smooth with airport transportation, check in etc and they helped us organise tours/bikes etc. the accommodation itself is more on the basic side but super clean and definitely good value for money!

The kitchen rules required us to clean after ourselves, but there was no dish soap, sponge or drying towels.

The beach was wonderful and a block away. The A/C was powerful and made our stay in Holbox much more enjoyable. We didn't try the pool, but looked inviting. We walked for about 20~25 min to see the bioluminescent lagoon and swam there; it was gorgeous. The walk to town was about 12 min walk. The staff was okay; Frida on the other hand, went beyond and above our expectations.

The breakfast was a lot shorter than advertised. Usually, places that advertise breakfast included provide continental breakfast. We were offered coffee and bread as breakfast and if we wanted a meal it was an additional charge.

We really liked the view and the air conditioning.
