Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandDue to the central location, the hotel is rather noisy. The breskfast is rather limited.
The hotel is in a prime location in Brussels. The room was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel also offers a good service when it comes to renting bicycles, for example.

United StatesNothing I did not like.
We wanted to explore The Hague a bit, and particularly go to the Mauritshuis art museum, where they have 3 Vermeer paintings among their collection. This hotel is right by the museum, in the historic district. We enjoyed strolling around the entire neighborhood, having a nice dinner at an outdoor cafe, and checking out the museum.

SwitzerlandHowever, on one occasion, the cleanliness in the bathroom left something to be desired. The shower was extremely covered in limescale, and when we filled the Jacuzzi tub, there was brown residue in the water from the jets, which hadn’t been properly cleaned. The breakfast was somewhat lacking. Many items were constantly empty, and the cook couldn’t keep up, although the concept of everything being freshly prepared is great. Perhaps they should make larger batches so that things don’t run out all the time. The selection could also be a bit bigger.
The hotel is extremely nice and very well located. The rooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomNothing really other than feedback that breakfast is very continental which is perfect for me but if you looking for a British fry up if your on business you won’t get quite that.
Fantastic location, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were big enough for a few nights and clean. The pillows and bed were to die for I’d have snuggled them home if I could have!

BotswanaI only slept for 4 days instead of 5 because my flight dates were adjusted, the staff refused to give me a refund for the 5th night and they asked me to make some adjustments on booking.com. However, when I tried to do that, booking.com kept on referring me to the host.
Room was very clean & comfortable.

NetherlandsThe Smart TV wasn't set up properly yet (unfortunately, just bad luck) so we didn't have an internet connection on it for a nice evening of YouTube or Netflix.
Walking in we already felt like we didn't belong, it looked very posh and elite (not a bad thing though). The customer service was amazing, we could go into the room 3 hours before designated check-in time. The bed was incredibly comfortable and big. The bathroom had a luxurious jacuzzi with cool lighting, bubbles and temperature regulation which made for a very comfortable stay. The room itself was also very spacious and clean.

Guernsey1. Jacuzzi/hot tub shower head leaking which cause minor flooding until we realised what it was and turned it off. 2. Restaurant next door refused my Visa card but card was working else where, was told they didn’t accept that card 3. Jacuzzi when filled up first two times was a lot of dirt and hair, emptied and cleaned with a tissue and after that was absolutely perfect.
Jacuzzi/hot tub and fabulous room decor (electric fire) Spacious room and gorgeous lighting.

PolandI recently stayed at Boutique Hotel Corona in The Hague, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The hotel boasts an excellent location, situated conveniently in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore the many attractions and amenities The Hague has to offer. Public transport links are also superb, allowing for effortless travel within the city and beyond. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. The staff were courteous and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries, which added to the pleasant ambiance of the hotel. However, there was one aspect that left something to be desired: the breakfast. The options available were quite limited and didn't cater to a variety of tastes. It was neither a traditional continental breakfast nor a sweet breakfast, which might be disappointing for those looking for a more diverse or substantial start to their day. Despite this minor setback, my stay at Boutique Hotel Corona was very enjoyable. The hotel's prime location and excellent service certainly outweigh the breakfast issue, making it a strong recommendation for anyone visiting The Hague. Overall, I would rate my experience an 8 out of 10.

PortugalMy room had a window facing a wall of another building, which isn't pleasant, but the most bizarre thing is that the light on the mirror of the bathroom could not be turned off. Beyond being an obvious waste of resources, it's terrible for people like me that need to get up during the night to go to the bathroom and that have to be in total darkness, otherwise they can't fall asleep again. This is a very weird choice, and I had to keep the bathroom's door closed during the night. I'd stay again, but I really felt the need to write this review because of these two situations.
Great location, friendly staff and very tasty breakfast. Good desk on the room for those needing to work. Good amount of illumination in the room.

GermanyEvery light in the appartment can be switched on and off with light switches - except for the bathroom light. I had a motion detector there, which is fine by me if it had worked properly. On several occasions, the light came on for a minute after entering the bathroom and then automatically switched off again while I was standing in the dark. An additional light switch could easily solve this problem.
The appartment had a neutral but modern design and met my expectations. I was happy to have the option to make tea and coffee in my room and really appreciated the size of the bathroom. The main light in my room was dimmable and I also liked the passive lighting behind my bed. The location of the hotel is quite good as you can easily walk to the central station and several tram platforms. The distance to restaurants and grocery shops is also quite short as the hotel is located pretty much in the centre.

CanadaThere is some machine noise in the backyard and when the sun is shining it can become very hot so that the air-conditioning struggles to cool down the room and you need to completely close the curtains to keep the temperature down. Luckily the nights were fresh and we had no problem then.
The staff is very, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the heart of De Haag and you can get every where just in foot. Their restaurant is excellent.

BelgiumWhen I ordered room service it ended il taking up to 2 hours to receive my order to my hotel room. This was due to a lack of attention from the staff taking my order and I had to call downstairs to the main lobby to ask what was taking so long. Apparently, my room number wasn’t taken down during the time of my order. I wish they would have tried to be more proactive about this matter. Also, when I was eating my meal there had been a sharp piece of plastic in my mouth from the hummus platter I ordered. Very unacceptable and was still charged for the meal. The food was pretty good, considering the accident.
My family and I all loved the location of this hotel. It’s right in the center of everything and the vintage look and feel to it is magnificent! The front staff were very polite and assisted us with finding the location to the hotel and offered a discount price for reserved parking at a nearby parking garage. The food /breakfast overall was tasty!
