If you are older or have difficulty with stairs this would not work. There is no elevator and the flights of stairs are long with narrow steps.

The staff was very friendly, large lively restaurant and bar located on property, clean room, large bathroom.

There's no lift and the stairs are very steep. It's difficult to go up and down, especially with luggage. Otherwise, excellent

I liked the location, Homeliness and excellent hygiene. Bathroom was very modern, especially the shower. Very good wifi and AC in room

The stairs going up to the guest rooms are crazy steep. If you stay here, consider not travelling with large suitcases (we did not but observed others struggling). Reception area was a bit difficult to find (a Kiosk at the back of the restaurant).

Location, room and dining facilities were excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

The walls between rooms aren't as soundproofed as I'd like - you can hear the neighbour's shower running or the television playing. Wasn't a big issue during my stay because I had relatively quiet people around me but I can see how that could be a problem.

Great location, very friendly staff and I like the vibe of having a lively cafe on the ground floor instead of a sterile reception area.

The stairs to our room were very steep, so do check when you book if you have accessibility needs.

The food was excellent, charming decor and very friendly staff. Our room was set away from the main accommodation, so was not as easily accessible, but it was fine for us. This is not a boring modern hotel, so be prepared for some old world charm.

The room I was staying only accessible by stairs, not everyone would have been able to use these stairs. To get to the bathroom you had to make sure you had your room key with you as it was in a separate corridor (not private corridor) Internet was slow and no close parking. Room lacked a fridge and only local TV channels available

Very good location, centrally located in the heart of Apeldoorn. Easy to find on the Raadhuisplein . Room was clean and a big bathroom. AC was working well.

Some noise on the street late in the evening was audible also with windows closed, very steep stairs - still ok for me but certainly a problem for people with less mobility

Good price-ratio, directly in the center, supervised bike-parking

The stairs from the first floor up to the rooms are very, very steep so if you have any physical limitations it may be a difficult climb up and down.

Centrally located with lots of food and drink options nearby.

Very steep stairs to carry luggage that was full of theatre costumes. Very busy square outside the hotel that provides very good atmosphere if you don’t need to wake up early the next day.

Fantastic and very friendly staff. Nice room and good pressure in water for nice showers. Very nice breakfast. Central location and within walking distance to Orpheus theatre.

The bathroom floor tiles were extremely slippery with the most tiny spray of water on them . I had a bit of a slip and so did my daughter. There was no shower curtain to prevent a spray of the water getting onto the tiles . The staircase to our room were very steep. … which didn’t bother me too much and I already knew about this when I made the booking. You had your take good care coming up and down. Fortunately the staff were very helpful in assisting taking our suitcases up them.

This Hotel had a very nice welcoming vibe and all the staff were absolutely amazing! Nothing was too difficult for them and we felt very comfortable

If you have difficulty with stairs, don't stay here as the stairs are steep and there is no lift/elevator. There are very helpful staff members who will whisk your bags up to your rooms but you have to get yourself there. If you have an early morning departure as I did you might find that no-one is available to help move the bags down the stairs. If travelling by car it is essential that you find your way to the Oranjerie parkade and then walk a short distance through the pedestrian zone to the hotel. A mapping app on your phone will be helpful! Park at the far end of the parkade (away from the entrance) as that will shorten your walk to the hotel. Don't attempt to drive directly to the hotel as it is in a pedestrian zone and there are next to no legal parking spaces. The hotel will sell you a parking pass that can be redeemed at the parkade ticket machine (pay on exit).

This hotel is right in the heart of Apeldoorn and its restaurant/bar is extremely popular with locals. Entrance to the hotel is through the restaurant and the receiption is in a corner of the bar. The room was very much as you would expect in a traditional Dutch hotel and mine was quiet and comfortable. Staff are super friendly and fluent in English.
