If you like surfing, wouldn’t necessarily recommend the surf school that is in front of the property, although you get discounts with the guest house, the boards weren’t great quality and the instructor we experienced wasn’t that friendly. (Although none of this directly impacted our stay at the guest house.)

Amazing location on the beach and close to everything we needed! The rooms were basic but had everything you needed, and were great for the price! The staff here were really lovely and welcoming, they even gave us free coconuts!

Right at the beach. You have your own space outside next to your room. The owner was very helpful. He called me to explain how to get there in the middle of the night. I was able to check in late. You can find cheaper options if you have low budget and planning to stay longer. But for this price it is quite decent place considering the fact it is right at the beach

Excellent location, right on the beach, short walk to the sand bottom beach and main surfing breaks. Room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. Very convenient restaurant always available with a good range of food and drinks.

Hikkaduwa has changed quite a lot after Covid, quite expensive food including the hotels own restaurant. Greedy shop owners who are quite unfriendly and overcharge foreigners as much as possible. There are much better options for a beach holiday in Sri Lanka.

My old time favourite hotel when coming to Hikkaduwa. Still good value for money with a location on the beach but very quiet at night. Big comfortable bed with fan, hot water shower. Friendly owner and staff as ever before.

We can only confirm other reviews, we had big family room with air-con, comfortable beds, there is easy access to the beach with enough sunbeds available. We ate mostly in the guesthouse restaurant because the food was simply delicious. And the family of the owner is really doing everything so that you feel as the guest.

If you get a room on the first floor, be aware that every morning will be noise, all the staff start getting ready for the day, so you will hear them, talking, cleaning, preparing in the kitchen and so on.

Good location, just a step from the beach on one side, and on the other side busy street life, all for shopping, dining or having a drink.Hotel have their own double sun beds with mattresses, bar and restorante. The room was very spacious and clean, with a small cosy terrace.

I have stayed in this wonderful place many times. The owner and his wife make the hotel like home, with lovely, simple rooms, excellent food and direct access to the beach. I already look forward to the next time!

Perfect location just on the beach and close to many restaurants, shops and tuktuk drivers. Nice, pleasant and helpful staff. The room was quite large, clean, air contioned and with amazing ocean view. We spent 9 nights there and would definitely recommend this hotel. Hope we will come again.

There was no air con in my room, just a ceiling fan, it wasn't a problem for me but some people might prefer a cooler room.

They have a sign saying this is your second home and nothing could be more true! Such an incredibly wonderful family running this guesthouse - kind, smiling and happy. It is right on the beach and the best part of the beach for swimming and surfing. The food in their restaurant is delicious and we had most of our meals there. My 2 night stay extended to 7 nights and we have already booked to go back! Rooms are big and spacious. Everything here is perfect!

Amazing spot with a lovely family! 10/10 would deffo stay again. Amazing food and location right on the beach with sunloungers and great drinks. Matey even gave me a lift to Galle himself when I left and gave me some tips for things to check out on my trip.
