Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast was amazing set beside a lush indoor garden. Hotel was in an excellent location in the central cbd. Our room overlooked a canal with large picture windows and a comfortable seat for people and boat watching.

FinlandI didn't understand the concept of a toilet without immediate access to hand washing. You'll need to open the door with unwashed hand and lid up a light to see the basin in the middle of the room. Doing this in the middle of the night - your partner.may not like it.
Service was superb, and so was the hotel itself, too. The location was great. The breakfast area was pretty tight, but it wasn't an issue. The surprise Genevieve tasting was a cherry on top.

United KingdomJust a small thing but the quirky room design was a bit over the top. The large plates glued to the bedside are in my opinion a health hazard as in the night you could cause a very nasty injury to your thigh - you should replace them asap with smaller plates that do not project. Also was the in-room sink designed by a female?! You cannot use the mirror when wet shaving as it is offset to the side and does not twist, so you have to shave blind.

SwitzerlandThe restaurant is definitely not up to the standard of the hotel. A portion of the restaurant is in a middle of the corridor. Then the menu is very small without many choices and dishes are not worth the money that we pay. It is ok for a bite but not more. This is really a pity as the restaurant has a great view on the canal and could definitely be a fit of a great dining experience but this not the case. Very disappointing for a beautiful hotel.

We came to Amsterdam to see a concert and only stayed one night. The Andaz was right around the corner from the venue and right in the heart of Amsterdam, perfect location. It is also a beautiful hotel. We stayed in the standard room and it was larger than expected with very cool decor, a nice layout and design. We ate in the restaurant/bar and the food was excellent. The bar also service innovative cocktails with a twist on the classics. The staff was very friendly. We also ate breakfast and what we really liked is we were able to order off the breakfast menu instead of taking the buffet. We are fairly light morning eaters and never get our moneys worth out of buffets. The breakfast was very good and loved the decor in the breakfast/garden room.
