The host was super nice, he brought us food every morning and we did not even asked for anything. Super nice. Also he suggested his friend and neighbour as a driver on the last day. That's how we easily managed to arrive to the airport at 3 am.

Walls are thin...

The owner is very thoughtful and sweet. He made everything easy for us to have a pleasant stay. It really felt like home. The ability to cook, do your washing, and use the bicycle are a huge plus !

The boat that crosses the river to get to the waterfront is very convenient and fun. However you need to grab a grab taxi when the boat crossing closes after 6pm. Taxi was 12 rm.

Our host was always trying to make our stay enjoyable. A fridge and washing machine at our disposal. Nice area outside our room for morning coffee and evening beer. Quiet and mellow neighborhood.

Have to get back by 6pm to catch the last ferry across the river, else it's a LONG taxi ride home. Some of the rooms have thin walls so you hear traffic noise from the street and people watching YouTube in the room next door.

Wonderful host, happy to suggest places to go and how to get there. Great, clean rooms with air conditioning. Washing machine and cooking area is available. Location is kind of cool, a bit outside the city. Neighborhood is full of wonderful people.

The shortest route to the waterfront is via boat ride(rm2/person). However, the boat service ends at 6.00pm.

The host! Pakcik is a super host, Friendly , very helpful n well versed in Bahasa as well as English . Nice kampong house. n has easy access to the riverfront by boat.

The location is not ideal, but it did not bother us a lot. You can take the ferry to the other side of the river to the city, but it's a bit inconvenient. There's no places to eat nearby.

Matnor is an amazing host who makes you feel at home. The homey feeling is nice! There's everything you need and the sit outside area is super nice.

This is more a tip for other travellers than really a negative thing: Calling a grab to the airport in the early morning took some time, since a driver had to get there first from the other side of the river and there was no other driver available close to us. So make sure to add some buffer time.

Matnor was very kind and helpful and provided us with everything we needed for our stay in Kuching, from bicycles to using the washing machine. In the mornings he would hang some snacks on our door, which were delicious! The room is quite small (we could have chosen a larger one but we were fine with a small one) but clean and there is a nice patio outside which comes with a place to cook your own meals. The location on the other side of the river didn’t bother us at all, Matnor’s tip about using the small ferry for RM1 per person proved to be very helpful and thus you can get to the city in 5-10min.

Prayers can be heard in the morning from the mosque. Location isn't ideal for restaurants and shops nearby.

Close to mosque so could be a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper (might need to bring earplugs).

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Walking distance to the jetty to cross the river or 15 mins by car. Matnor, the owner, was so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout the stay, he really made us feel at home! Having the use of a washing machine was also very much appreciated.
