Ambong Rainforest was beautiful and a very quiet location which made it the perfect spot for a restful holiday. The staff were extremely welcoming and quickly responded to all our needs. The room and hotel facilities were also excellent. The breakfast was also very delicious with local Malaysian options as well. The beach was also a 5-7 mins walk away which was perfect. We would highly recommend staying at Ambong Rainforest.

My husband and I visited Ambong Ambong during our honeymoon in Malaysia. We chose blindly and had no idea what we were getting into, but the accommodation at Ambong completely captivated us. It was only during our stay that we got to know the philosophy of the resort, which completely won us over. It is a peaceful oasis where you feel part of nature and the beautiful Malaysian jungle. The resort offers a space to reboot your mind and realize the beauty of the moment. This is complemented by great staff who are helpful, kind and always helpful. They also prepared a beautiful honeymoon decoration for our room. In addition to amazing massages, we also enjoyed breakfast in a vegan restaurant (although we are not vegetarians, the breakfasts were absolutely fabulous), yoga, soundhealing treatments and a romantic dinner in an attached restaurant with a sunset view. We definitely recommend Ambong to you, we recommend it to our friends and we would love to come back here one day.

I won’t say it’s something that i dont like but rather something that might enhance the experience even more is to have good range of food menu at the restaurant. Although what they have now isnt bad at all.

The ambience is superb with lush of greeneries all around the rainforest. The staff are also what makes me feel so welcomed and u can count on them for help. The facilities are all well kept.

The resort is nestled in the rainforest, the suite is spacious and comfy, equipped with all amenities necessary. We could watch from a safe distance monkeys, lizards and geckos from our suite. It is immaculately clean and mosquito repellent is provided every day. What makes the experience truly special is the fantastic staff at Ambong Ambong. Eliana, Nizal and Ali are super kind and friendly, eager to make you feel welcome and at home. The resort has two restaurants open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - Indulge in vegan food at Pegaga or watch the sunset from Rimba restaurant. Food is spectacular, fresh and flavoursome, lots of local dishes to try. The beach is just a 5-min walk across the road.

The breakfast was a bit slow to come out on one of the mornings.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway, escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. The location was beautiful, with peaceful and stunning scenery that made it easy to relax. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially Ben, who went above and beyond to take care of us. their warm service made our stay even more enjoyable. It was a great holiday and we’re looking g forward to visit again!

A lovely location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah, but close enough to still make it easy to get in. The positioning of the accommodation tucked into the rainforest is peaceful and provides a lovely connection with nature. Studio suite was well appointed and comfortable. In particular, its worth noting the staff are extremely friendly and helpful (but make sure you have WhatsApp on your phone for communication). An upgrade to minimise impact of maintenance work was a considerate and unexpected bonus. Recommend staying here if you want a quiet place in a beautiful rainforest environment.

Situated on a steep hillside in the rainforest, the villas feature suites and suites. Each is assured of distinctiveness and discretion. If you love big marble lounges, reception areas and crowds at breakfast - this is not the place for you. Wifi in room was poor and intermittent, not sure if much could be done about it given the location. Pool was in a secluded area.

Calm surroundings, amazing to be in the jungle while in a clean, comfortable room. Imagine forest bathing from the comfort of your balcony! Very good vegan food at Pegaga. Lee and Shifa were 2 of the many friendly and caring staff. Lee and Shifa. The transfers were a life saver given the very steep incline of the rooms.

Love the thoughtful gestures and facilities by the resort ♥️ The pantry in the studio is a bonus Everything was well thought of especially setting up the room for us for the night - closing curtains, lighting up mossie coil at the balcony and turning on electric mossie repellent in the room. 2 times cleaning daily, pick up and send back.. and they are available anytime at your service promptly ♥️ Breakfast is very good at both restaurants - unlimited order from the menu. Love the vegan breakfast! Staff are nice and friendly.. Services are exceptional!

A little remote, not many shops or amenities in the area. Though easy enough to get a grab and only a short 5 min drive to more busy areas.

Very peaceful and serene. Enjoyed listening to the rainforest sounds and watching the local wildlife including the very cheeky monkeys! The staff were very accommodating and kind. Breakfast was fantastic, delicious and fresh. Very much enjoyed our stay here.

I scheduled a 90 minute massage and a 90 minute facial back-to-back. In other places I have been, this meant 90 minutes of actual treatment time. But I was done in 2.5 hours so I suspect that giving me tea and time to shower was part of the 3 hours. That was quite disappointing. I expected 90 minutes of treatment time, especially at the prices. The massage was also average. I asked for deep pressure and it was medium at best. And I think most of my shortchanged time was during the massage. It did not feel like it was 90 minutes.

My room was so lovely and I loved the whole property. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The staff was so willing to help - they promptly answered texts and were always available.

First of all, the staff were very friendly and always accommodating. Thank you for making our stay so special. The included breakfast was easily the best breakfast of our two week trip to Malaysia. The vegan restaurant was the best restaurant we found on Langkawi. There is another restaurant with veggie/non-veggie options which was also good. We loved that the resort was located in the jungle along with all the wildlife and animals. It was beautiful and gave a unique vibe to the place. The hotel certainly felt more boutique when compared to the large hotels on the island which made it a much more personal experience. The swimming pool by the restaurant was great for a refreshing dip to chill. If you fancy, the beach is also just a three minute walk away. For going further afield Grab / e-hailing taxi is extremely convenient. The room itself was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. One touch I loved was that they offer ground coffee in the room rather than just instant. This is a small but much appreciated detail. We also loved the evening “turn-down” service in the room. It made our stay even more comfortable. It was also great that the checkout was at midday so we were not rushed to leave and then were able to stay an around after for lunch.
