Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MalaysiaCleanliness of room could be improved. There's some unpleasant smell in the room but we could not figure it out what. The aircond's fan seems to can be set in one direction only so the person sleep right under the aircond will get really cold. But that's not really a big deal for a short stay.
The location was good which is round 5 - 8 min walking from Masjid Jamek LRT station. Bed was comfy, facilities just ok for a night or two stays.

United KingdomIntermittent WiFi and Water Pressure, the white sheets were not particularly clean and had marks on them. The shower curtain was mouldy at the bottom, and the bathroom had a weird smell.
Super lovely welcoming staff at reception. Bed was very big and comfortable. High pressure shower (when it worked). Good location in KL - only a short walk from main attractions, short taxi to KL Sentral.

AustraliaLift was broken on the first day (this was promptly repaired). Air con was dripping water (this was reported to reception and a repair order issued). TV was not fully functional. Shower fan cannot be turned off when in the room, presumably to keep smells away.
Clean and cosy spot in the heart of KL, a very short walk to Masjid Jamek LRT station. Dataran Merdeka and Central Market (Pasar Seni) are also within walking distance. It is surrounded by restaurants (mostly Indian cuisine), fast food, and shops. Staff were polite and helpful. 24h reception with luggage storage available upon request. Hot and cold drinking water dispenser provided in the rooftop common area. Unlike many other hotels in Malaysia, the bathroom has a shower screen to keep the toilet area dry.

SpainThe room didn't have a window, but because of that it was very silent and quiet, so it was not really negative.
Very well located, big enough, nice room and bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is close to the bus station and to nice and local restaurants.

United KingdomThe air con could only be switched on with the one key card we had, which we had to take with us if we left, or even one of us left. As it was very hot it would have been nice to have the option to keep it running while one of us took the key card to go out. Maybe just having 2 cards would make the difference.
There was one gentlemen who we mainly seen working at reception and he was very friendly and helpful during our stay. 24 hour reception is very good. The room was a good size, good size fridge, TV had a reasonable amount of channels to choose from, the rooftop terrace was handy if you’re a smoker and there was some snacks available to buy at reception. The street that the hotel is located on is quite pretty with colourful hanging lights. It is also pretty well located, we didn’t find too much trouble getting around.

PhilippinesNothing much we didn't like, hotel was reasonably priced and we'd probably stay there again if we revisit KL ☺️
Hotel looks new, beds are comfortable and the room and bathroom overall were clean and smelled good. We forgot to bring plug g type adapter but there's a regular socket on the bedside table so I recommend bringing an extension cord so you can charge multiple devices at the same time. Walking distance from Masjid Jamek train station, although at the time there were stalls erected on the pavement (?) side of the street so it was a bit confusing to get to the hotel. Was easy once we spotted the hotel logo. Easy to purchase SIM card from the nearby KK supermart and myNEWS convenience stores since we didn't come from the airport (travelled by bus from SG). Best to withdraw or exchange money before check-in as they would ask for RM50 in cash for the safety deposit. If you love to walk this hotel is perfect since you can easily reach Merdeka Square by crossing the road. And from there we also walked to Central market, Petaling street then Mydin to buy chocolate souvenirs. We used Grab a lot to go to other places and it's pretty cheap, but don't use Grab during peak hours or at night time esp when coming from Bukit Bintang area traffic was mad heavy and we waited almost an hour for the Grab car to arrive. If in a hurry best to utilize the trains for transportation.
