Spent a couple days within a longer trip in Mexico. Hosts have been super, always kind, accomodating for check-in time and baggage storage. Location is convenient to ADO bus station and to Cancun Centro, yet extremely peaceful. Breakfast in the common area while looking at the raining pouring onto the internal garden has been an extraordinary moment of relax!

The weather - it rained constantly. But that is no one's fault. The gym was not great, but I had not expected that either, and it was not important at all.

Very friendly host, big room(s) and relaxing atmosphere. The neighbourhood was also very quiet.

Breakfast was amazing. Local fresh food and great coffee. Very comfortable beds with airco in the rooms. Little green oasis with a relaxing pool in the city centre. Both the centre and beaches were very easy to reach by foot or a 4 euro Uber trip. Amazing hosts that will help you with any questions and/or problems you have.

Fantastic breakfast with many different options so they were able to cater to my dietary preferences. Beautiful rooftop terrace to watch the sunrise or sunset. I caught an ADO bus from the airport and walked 10mins with my suitcase from the downtown bus station which was super easy.

The Quetzal is a GEM in the heart of downtown Cancun. The facilities create a hidden oasis; perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring the city. I could not recommend this place more. If you are headed to Cancun definitely consider staying here.

Gorgeous little place - lovingly decorated with plants and shells. We were really well looked after. The breakfast was delicious. The place is really quiet despite being really well located to lots of food and drink places.

Minor things, like there was no door to the toilet (only a curtain) and the staircase is quite narrow and steep (not a problem for us but worth mentioning)

Nice B&B located in the city center of Cancun, one block away from a lively square and several streets with restaurants and bars. Room was comfortable and clean. Nice common area with a swimming pool. Very good breakfast and friendly staff.

It wasn't an issue for us, but the staircase was very narrow to get up and the pool had no stairs for entry in / out. Could be something to be mindful of.

The room was really spacious with everything you could need and the hosts were very helpful and welcoming. The pool area was beautiful as was the building and its bright colours. There were loads of food and drink venues around and we loved the vibe of the area. Breakfast was a real highlight, fresh fruit served each day with eggs.

The only thing to note for future guests is the steep staircase, mobility issues could be a problem, although there were some rooms on the groundfloor too I think!

We were pleasantly surprised by The Quetzal. We only stayed one night before moving on to Valladolid but would have happily stayed longer. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they served a great breakfast, and the hotel building itself was really cute. The room was also larger than we expected, for a reasonable price.

I don’t think there was anything that we didn’t really like. We adore the quirky and eccentric- full flavor locales and this was a great one.

It is a wonderfully unique place, loved the fun decor and the property itself. Our room was up a spiral stair case that reminded me of the lighthouses in NW Oregon. The room was really neat, with lovely large windows and a little balcony. The room had a bathroom in it and it seemed to be an add on as the walls do not go to the ceiling. It was so cool, only downside is that the sound travels to the room- bathroom activities when someone else is sleeping may be an issue. It wasn’t for us at all. Bed was super comfy and AC was great. We actually got a little chilly- which we like. Absolutely loved Eric and Monica. Such gems! We had my husbands passport go missing and Monica was wonderful in helping us. She makes an amazing breakfast with coffee or tea, yogurt, fresh fruits and eggs, toast etc. Super tall ceilings, gleaming white walls, and spotlessly clean :) we would love to come again!
