Pictures do not do this hotel justice - it’s a quiet and beautiful oasis in the middle of cancun, located very centrally. The room was clean and had nice thoughtful finishing touches - bathrobes, bedroom slippers, incense, candles - just the sort of things we love at any accommodation. We were greeted very graciously and shown to our rooms, and the hotel also helped facilitate arrangement of transport to Chichén Itzá which was fantastic. Our only regret was not being able to stay for breakfast since there are so many good reviews about it - but we’d definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Cancun!

Nothing really. Everything was amazing. If i could find something wrong with it, it would be the stairs are a bit narrow. For someone who isnt good on their feet, maybe it isnt recommended for you, but otherwise it is not an issue at all.

Proximity to the city center and the plaza. Everything was walking distance. The hosts were super lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was also tasty. What a way to arrive in Mexico.

This was one of the most welcoming if not the most welcoming accomodations we have ever stayed at. Everything was so relaxing; the people so kind; the breakfast just incredibly delicious with fruit, yoghurt, eggs… simply wonderful. We had a lovely room with direct access to the pool area. Very nice. Lots of flowers all around. Location was perfect: central and quiet.

There is nothing

It is the 2nd time that I am in Cancún and the 2nd time I try to find the beauty of the city. I would say I found it in this small cute hotel. It was such a nice warm welcome after a long flight, perfect breakfast and I had the pool just for myself after the rain in the morning. :) 100% recommendable!

Monica and Luis are super nice and welcoming people. This stay at the Quetzal kickstarted our honeymoon in the best possible way. The pool is fantastic after a long day, the room and bed was perfectly comfortable, nothing was amiss. Also, 5star breakfast, prepared with care at the time, super nutritious and full of flavor. Would 100% recommend.

We loved the welcome, pool and breakfast. A real gem in a city with mainly large generic hotels. Breakfast and the coffee were delicious and service and hosts were exceptional, friendly and charming.

What a fantastic start to my first trip to Mexico. A real oasis in downtown Cancun, just a few minutes walk to the Parque de las Palapas, many restaurants, bars and R1 bus stop to beaches and hotel zone. Also just a 10 min walk to the ADO bus station. Monica, Eric and Alberto were absolutely lovely hosts. The breakfast was also a highlight … freshly prepared and served in the delightful poolside garden area. I will recommend to friends and family without hesitation!

The Quetzal is a quiet place, where you can get some rest in the Middle of the very touristic cancun. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Breakfest is very good. Overall wonderfull stay.

Everything was good!

Súper friendly and helpful people, the place looks really cosy with several plants and accessoires. Beds were comfy, breakfast was delicious. All details were well taken care of. We will definitely come back if we’re in Cancun again!

Nothing, maybe a bit far from the beach side but there are plenty of options to reach them. Close to bus stops/station and not too expensive with uber.

The property is beautiful with a fantastic pool, a small room with weights to train and good rooms. The breakfast was amazing, lot of fruits and I tried for the first time a local one: guanaba. I really appreciated the hospitality, hosts are fantastic, sharing tips and the history of Cancun/Yucatán. Recommended

Loved the staff and the facilities! Monica in particular was so friendly and there was a special touch to everything they do - quality shampoo/conditioner, hot water in the shower, candles in the room, adaptors, robes and slippers, quality breakfast that catered for vegans... It was a wonderful place to stay and I wish it could've been longer. Good location as well! Very close to the ADO bus terminal.

What a place to end our three weeks in Yucatan! The hosts (Monica and the others) were just lovely, so friendly. Breakfast outstanding, pool very refreshing. The room was just great, overlooking the garden with plenty of space and even the fan itself kept the room cool after the AC had cooled it.

Charming homey hotel set in the middle of Cancun, in a more local than touristy area. The decor and refurbishment was lovely, it’s obvious someone has put time and thought into each piece to create a unique environment. Breakfast was offered 2 hours early to ensure we ate prior to our drive to the airport!
