Robertos place is advertised as a Studio, but it is NOT a Studio, it is only a basic room with some kitchen facilities and a private bathroom. Many facilities which are advertised, such as a Hairdryer, a desk, an iron, a Minibar, cups, glasses, a wardrobe or closet, a close rack were missing. But the worst thing for me was that there were no kitchen sink and not any cleaning products for cleaning the dishes. And due to the fact that my room was next door to the outside restaurant kitchen it was very noisy from morning until late evening and you’ll have the smell of the cooked food inside your place.

Roberto’s place is very well located, many shopping possibilities and restaurants nearby and only a few walking minutes to the main beach of Playa del Carmen. The housekeeping lady received me and presented a very clean place.

I had the place all the way in the back so unfortunately the WiFi didn’t reached all the way there so I didn’t had WiFi in my room unfortunately. The fridge wasn’t working properly same with the A/C and bathroom wasn’t so great either. Sometimes it got pretty loud around. Just the facilities seemed overall very old. Communication wasn’t really happening neither through booking.com or WhatsApp.

The location was super great. And the bed was very comfortable too. Also was handy to have all great restaurants around you. Staff were friendly and check in was easy as you do that with the restaurant staff right in front of the place.

Considering the time of arrival, which was quite late, staff were accommodating and ended up coming down to give us the keys as there were no instructions for a lock box....we got lucky as we thought we were going to have to stay somewhere else, but another couple staying there were very helpful and called the manager to help us.

I stayed for two weeks and had to ask them most of the times to clean my room. The water heater in the shower broke down twice. Only way to reach the management was through Booking messenger. It worked the first time but the second repair took a while to get them going. If you like sleeping before 11.30 PM beware of the quite hectic traffic on the street. If you are easily disturbed this might be a problem.

Location near the beach and night life. Comfortable bed, hot water in the shower, fridge, water boiler, fast WiFi. In short good value for money. But beware, this is not a hotel per definition. No reception, no breakfast, only staff avaliable was the cleaners as I could see.

A bit noisy and no shutters but that's how it is in Mexico.

It has the bear minimum. Air con, own bathroom, and bed. For the price it is okay. A suggestion; add a mirror

The TV in my room was on when I walked in, blaring Spanish music. Couldn't change the channel or even adjust the volume, so I just unplugged it. The A/C worked well, but the fan blades were stuck aimed at the door and not the whole of the room. I'm sure they would save a lot of electricity if this were fixed. Very noisy all night and most of the day between traffic and bar music. No toilet paper, had to buy it at the 7/11.

The location (few blocks from ADO/5th Ave) and value for money. Fridge worked well. The shower takes a minute to start after you've turned it on, just wait a few.

A microwave is not a kitchenette. No equipment and nothing else. It is ordinary.

The room needed some painting. It was pretty noisy, but that is expected in the centre. There was a cooker but no kettle.

Location was great, for the price it was good enough. You can sit outside. Fridge in a room is a great thing and some dishes. Good for one max two night if you want to walk around city.

Check in wasn’t specific. Wifi was so poor I couldn’t work. The place looks like it needs a bit of attention. Cracks and marks on walls. There were stains on my sheet.

I wasn't expecting a Hilton experience on my budget. I would have settled for a Motel 6. It took a while to find it, you have to guide yourself by the main hotel across the street. You have to get a key from the restaurant in front of the building, it has a gate but it's never locked the room has two good locks on the door. It's very basic, A/C, private bathroom, wifi. Those are my three musts. It was a very small room, which didn't bother me, there wasn't a toilet lid, didn't like that and I never found a way to get hot water, barely warm at best and that took a while. It's okay for the price especially for the location, but it wasn't a place i'd stay again. Sorry, I'm just being as honest as possible.

This place is all about location, very close to all the shops and beach.

The location was unmarked so it took me a lot of effort to find it after trading multiple text messages. His contact phone number appeared to have been disconnected long time ago. The room had odd moisture/mildew smell when we first open the door.

Either remove the dirty sink in the room with the gas stove, either clean it and repair it, and put a min. of kitchen utilities. With little money and a lot of creativity and willingness, much more could be made out of the place. Now it is not more than an easy making money stay. Be aware of meeting with some cockroaches, saw a dead one upon arrival when the room still had to be cleaned. Had a meeting with another one when arriving late night which was walking over my bed and my pillow!!

Big room, close to the beach and bus station. Close to outdoor life, pubs and restaurants, as well as other facilities. Forgot once my key in the restaurant late evening, the guys from the rest. were so kind to put it in the key box so I could get it later that night.

The building is no longer what is advertised. There are cracks in a lot of places, paint job is also half gone and the supposed outdoors garden is a jungle. For example, the shower is not functioning properly and the water stream is scarse. Overall, it needs maintenance in almost every way. Only selling point is location.

The location is very good since it is close to great restaurants, wallmart, and right next to the bus station. The beach is also 2 blocks away.
