Not a lot immediately surrounding the accommodation - but for an overnight stay was fine.

Lovely hosts! Very well equipped, modern and clean apartment. Lost of space and very comfortable. The hosts made sure we had everything we needed and helped us when our flight time changed. Lovely to be close to the river. Good breakfast provided.

He texted us a day before we arrived to confirm all the details and make sure all was planned and set for our arrival. -He booked for us a day trip to Iles aux cerfs which was very nice -The apartment is comfortable and well maintained -Very good location facing the river

Very good and quiet place with great views from big terrace. Rajesh and Madhvi are very kind and attentive people. For breakfast we have fruits, fresh bread, coffee, tea, butter, milk, jam, cereals.

This place is a miracle. I felt if we were in James Cameron's Pandora. Fantastic terraces with great view to palm trees, river and ocean. Tropical birds are continuously chirping. In the evening you can hear frog concert. Our hosts were super kind. We arrived a bit earlier but we could go to our "new home", Rajesh and his wife Madvi organized a boat trip for us (GRSE waterfall, Ile aux Cerfs and lunch on the beach) and in the morning we got bananas from them to breakfast (which we could share with monkies during the boat trip. They booked table for us in Satish's Carambole Snack. They recommended which hospital to go when our daughter had a too close connection with a sea urchin. One day Madvi also cooked for us. There are lots of things to do in the neighbourhood. You can also walk to the top of the GRSE waterfall where you can even swim in the water and if you are lucky, you can also meet monkeys on the path. There are nice beaches, nice hindu temples, nice mountains to walk, nice towns around.

At night and in the morning you hear the neighbourhood but the stay at Riverside is really worth it, no doubt about it.

Rajesh and his wife are the Best hosts ever. They anticipate everything you could need: fruits, water, fresh bread, coffee, tea, butter, milk, jam, rice, cereals, washing machine, micro water, great terrace, ... everything!!! You should also definitely book a car there. The have done everything to make our stay perfect, including great advices and booking a trip to Dear Island and the cascade nearby. They are extremly kind. The view from the comfortable terrace is outstanding and it is very nice to have breakfast there. The Carambole snack extremely close is also held by a very nice person, Satish.

Nothing that is worth noting

The general area is typical of a Mauritian neighbourhood. The location of the apartment is very good as it is on the banks of Grande Riviere with lovely views of the river and Indian Ocean which is about 400 metres away. There was always a choice of breakfast cereals available in the apartment with a reasonably stocked fridge and every morning the host Rajesh provided fresh bread at no extra cost

Wonderful place to stay. Clean, well equiped apartement with nice view. Owner was really friendly and kind. He was taking care of us all the time. He recommends us local restaurant and organize trip to Ile aux Cerf for us. I highly recommend to opt for this apartement. Service and atmosphere was just perfect. Village Deux Freres is place where you can meet locals and taste local quisine. Hope to return soon.

Very nice place located in a small remote village. The host, Rajesh, was very friendly and helpful. He helped us with a rental car as well as a local sim card from the day we arrived. The highlight of our stay was having authentic mauritian dinner at the little restaurant of Rajesh's friend a few minutes away.

The property is relatively far from points of interest but if you have a car you can reach everything within 15-30 minutes. Price wise hard to beat though ;) Since the property is near a river, get ready to frog concertos during the night. Same goes for dog barking. This is not the property's fault, therefore for me it's still a 10 out of 10. Rajesh and his wife were just fantastic!

Rajesh is an optimal host! He was very welcoming and helped where he could. He helped us book a boat tour to the falls and to Ile aux Cerfs with lunch which was very good. One of the nicest beaches is about 18min drive (in Trou d'eau Douce). The apartment was spacious and clean, we had all the equipment we needed and if we needed anything else Rajesh or his wife were there to help. It's set in a beautiful environment near the river with lots of greenery. There's running hot water, comfy beds, a nice and huge terrace and a lively bird life to watch from the terrace. The aircon is new and working quietly and effectively (in the bedroom). I think a big advantage Rajesh is offering is free pickup/dropoff from/to the airport + he has a car rental company to offer cars at a reasonable price.
