Need more free shuttles to beach and shops, they are not that regular. It should be every hour at least. The taxis are extortionate and it is not safe to walk on the main road especially at night there is no pavement. The ac needs cleaning, when we put it on there was a foul sewage smell on our last two days, the staff offered us to move rooms but it was too much hassle with all our unpacked luggage. Wish they had Netflix on their tv, all are Samsung, can’t connect iPhone for music or anything, that would have been amazing.

Amazing value for money, great find! Everything was clean, super Modern and brand new. Location is great, next to la croisette mall and a short bus ride to the beach. Taxis are an absolute rip off! Rent a car or hop on the bus like a local, it’s so much fun! They also offer a free shuttle to main attractions but the timings are not that often and you need to pre book. Staff are friends and very helpful.

Recent reviews are true: the cleaning is quite poor: windows were pretty dirty, bed sheets fresh yet with stains. They left some used cotton pads in the bathroom when we checked in. Food Food is average (we had half board included). Breakfasts were alright - just like anywhere else. If you come early you won’t have any issues with selection at all. But dinners are quite basic if you are a spoiled foodie like we are. They have thematic nights - Indian night, Italian etc. But generally it’s same ingredients cooked in different ways. It’s certainly not bad , especially if you don’t like to cook!

Overall very nice place if you manage to book it well in advance for a cheaper price.

we had a vegetarian with us on the day they served mauritian buffet. we had no choice of veg food in the buffet and the chef has proposed to cook a special veg dish. the food took a while and when it came to the table, we couldn’t it all. It was SO salty. We complained and finally the chef agreed to have added salt twice in the dishes. This was really disappointing and unprofessional in the part of the chef to send off a dish that he did not even taste. that day our vegetarian member did not have diner and was off mood. They gave us a mean discount of 20% discount amounting to around Rs200 for compensating someone missing his dinner.

A second toilet would be useful in the two bedroom units, as one became a bit of a challenge given there were four of us staying in the apartment for the stay

Found the breakfast unorganised, daily hunt for spoons and coffee machine hit and miss. Stayed half board and wasn’t told it included certain dishes at the garden restaurant, we only found out on last night, we would’ve enjoyed it more as the food was lovely

Pool bar seemed to be unmanned every time we went and we had to hunt someone down for a towel or to get a drink. Would be nice to have someone stationed there during operational hours.

Lovely property. Room was very spacious, well kept and comfortable. Cleaned every day and all staff were very friendly. Location is good with two malls within walking distance and a free shuttle to the local beaches throughout the day.

Our bed was extremely hard, but to be fair to the hotel, we didn't let them know. I am sure that if we had, they would have remedied it straightaway but we decided to make do and we got used to it. I am confident they would have fixed it because one morning, we didn't have any hot water in our room and within 5 minutes of telling reception, they had sent 4 workmen to repair it, which was done in minutes. I was really impressed with their responsiveness.

We loved everything about Domaine de Grand Baie. I had booked it not expecting too much from the photos, but they are not doing themselves justice; it's a beautiful place with wonderful self-service apartments to rent. Since it is not walkable to the beach, at first I was a bit worried, but we had a hire care and the hotel runs a free shuttle service for guests 4 times a day which is an added bonus. The positive trade-off is that there is a lovely mall/shopping centre a 2 minute walk away, which was great for grocery shopping and restaurants. Having said that, we ended up eating at Domaine a lot more than we had planned to because the food was so excellent too. Highlights of this property are the spacious apartments (even the one-bed that we booked), spotless and sunlit building, perfectly maintained gardens, a brilliant bar, a lovely small gift shop and two fantastic pools. We couldn't have been happier and can't wait to stay there again. The staff were also faultless.

The shuffle was difficult to use , have to book fast in advance and it’s only 3 per days so we could not use it. The GB restaurant was a big disappointment, very expensive for what we get , we had an amazing dinner in a gastronomical restaurant for the same price. The immediate surroundings are not very nice it’s not a tourist area , you have malls and no streets to walk around

The appartment was spacious with everything you need and of a very good standard . The common areas were nice . The breakfast was nice .the bars were good. Location was a good base but a rental car or using taxis is mandatory.

We stayed in this amazing hotel one week! Everything was great, extremly friendly stafff, cleaning service in our room, breakfast was as well great. They even offered free shuttle bus to near by beach and transfer to the airport which was great as well. Also, we enjoyed their spa and ladies did great massage. Thank you so much for everything we higly recommended this hotel.
