It was difficult finding the place since the sign in front did not exactly match the booking (slight wording differences). We had to call them to check after going up and down the small dirt road in front of their place. Also note that the dirt road is filled with ruts and potholes and can only really accommodate traffic going in one direction and it is hard to turn around. Not their fault but be warned. It might be easier for tuks tuks but it's rough for cars and their suspensions. Afterwards, my driver opted to park on the main asphalt road and waited for me to walk out to meet him, rather than subject his car to the poor road conditions. There were two times that the water in the shower was not working but they quickly rectified it after I informed them.

This lovely home stay is in a hidden location surrounded by wilderness. There are patios with seating on the second and ground floors that you can use to relax and look out into the greenery. The room was not especially large but fine for a single person; might be tight if there are two of you. Air conditioning works well. WIFI was slow so I just used my phone as a hotspot. The large washroom had standard Asian fixtures, shower and toilet. Thushara and his wife Menu were exceptional hosts. Warm and friendly, always eager to please. Thushara welcomed me with a cold drink after I arrived. Since we were going to Sigirya for the sunrise, they got up early to pack me some fruit for the trip. As well, Thushar walked me out to the main road to meet my driver for which I was thankful for as it was pitch black in the wilderness pre-dawn. The breakfasts were exceptional. Usually, a combination of some of the following: medu vada, muffins, pani pol pancakes filled with coconut and jaggery, string hoppers, fried egg, bread, fruit, and tea – a veritable feast each morning. Breakfasts are served al fresco on the patios which is a delightful and peaceful way to start to the day. They also arranged for laundry service which was done in one day. However, I discovered the laundry prices are much higher than what it was in Ella, so plan accordingly. Athreya Ayurveda Spa is an excellent ayurvedic spa located about 5 minutes drive away in the town. My guide said he has tried several in the country and he proclaimed this one is the best and it was.

This is an excellent location in Habarana if you have a car/driver, and close to the main road if you are using public transport, but at the same time it is very quiet and private. The lovely hosts provided an evening meal on request on my second day and a very good breakfast. There's a little deck where guests can sit and relax. The room was very clean and comfortable, and any issues quickly and competently addressed (eg wifi connection initially)

No complaints! If you are 1.90 meters tall, pay attention because the room door is lower.

The location is wonderfully quiet and Habarana is a good base for Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and Dambulla. The host and his family did their utmost to advise us and arrange matters (arranging a Tuktuk, most convenient bus). The breakfast was extensive and varied. Dinner also tasted great.

Amazing place run by such a nice family! The couple helped us organize our trips and we had the feeling that they can help with anything. We stayed for two nights and had amazing local food for breakfast and dinner! The location is perfect, it’s very peaceful, quiet and the rooms are spacious and clean. I absolutely love this place! I came here on the recommendation of friends and it didn't disappoint! Infact, this is the only place I actually extended my stay. The owners are so friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. They can book cheap tours to do the elephant safari and anything else you need they make calls and get back to you with prices really quick. They do everything they can to make your stay more comfortable so you have no leg work to do. This really is hospitality at its finest. The room is the nicest I've stayed in by far, extremely clean and very comfortable with a king-size bed and the comfiest pillows ever. Their garden is also beautiful and so peaceful away from all the chaos and Menukas cooking is delicious! And the portion sizes are HUGE! you definitely won't go hungry at this place. I felt so welcomed and I will probably return to celebrate their new year with them 😁

Organised a very local price Tuktuk for the day and the dinners were amazing!! So authentic and delicious breakfast and dinner. A perfect way to start my Sri Lanka trip.

We had a great time at Wild View Stay. This guesthouse is surrounded by a beautiful and peacful jungle garden. It is run by a lovely family which warmly welcomed us with smiles on their faces. It was really fun to hang out with them and hear their stories. The food was also great, especially the breakfast was very big and delicious. Highly recommended :)

This is a fantastic homestay. The owner and his wife are so welcoming and kind, helpful when booking tuk tuks and for any activities you’d like to do in the area (hikes, safari etc). The free breakfast is great, and there is a lovely family feel to the place. The room and bathroom were also very clean! All in all we stayed two nights and would happily come back :)

I’m very thankful for such a friendly and warm stay! The host was super helpful and proposed to drive me around to some of the local must see places, arrange a safari with a pickup right there at the house and take me to the local lake for a refreshing swim. Especially as a single traveller, this was much appreciated and made me feel very welcome. Enjoyed the meals and the separate big balcony for morning yoga and reading time, all the time surrounded with lush palm trees and jungle sounds. Location is nicely outside the village a bit and so closer to nature. Would be happy to visit again!

The Wild View Stay is really true to it‘s name. The beautiful garden is located in the middle of the jungle. You can watch all the local flora & fauna while eating delicious homestyle sri lankan meals. The host and the whole family is just incredibly nice! They really took care of us in a heart warming way! The room is simple but sufficient. Here and there are a few spots that need renovating but we really didn‘t mind. Our host provided us with all the information, transportation and help we could ever wish for. All the best for this wonderful family!

The owners were so helpful and were able to sort safari and transport for us at a cheaper price than we could have managed on our own. We ate dinner one night which was lovely. And there was plenary of breakfast. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone in the area.

Thushara, Menuka, Gangu and Pawani opened the doors of their beautiful home to us. They are the most wonderful and hospitable hosts who became like a second family. While staying here they all made sure we were completely looked after from organising day trips, to long walks in the local villages, visits to their local temple and even introducing us to their neighbours. We have felt right at home. The grounds of their home is like a miniature jungle with a plethora of local wildlife and the occasional nightly visit from wild elephants. An absolute feast for the eyes. The breakfast is good, but the dinner option is even better. This family really knows how to cook. Every meal has been varied and delicious. We would highly recommend staying here!!

Lovely homestay. Thushara's hospitality was amazing, always smilling and happy to have a chat with guests. He arranged all the safari and trips for us directly when we checked in. Great way to try out homemade Sri Lankan food (some of the top dinners we had in Sri Lanka). We had a great stay. The host was very kind and helpful, he gave us a tour of the garden and let us try all of the ripe fruits. He even gave us his motorbike because the other one wasn’t available.
