Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hotel does show general signs of wear and tear and could do with some general maintenance but my room was clean (well done room service) and the bed comfortable. Good value for money.

Breakfast was excellent. Lydia was so helpful and friendly and made our breakfast a great experience. The staff at Reception were very helpful and responded promptly to any request. Housekeeping staff were friendly and did a great job.

United KingdomThe lift was a long walk from Reception. Had to pump the toilet cistern several times before it would flush. One of the outlets of the double 13A socket serving the desk in my room was jammed shut, making it impossible to insert a plug.
Rural setting with easy access from the motorway. Friendly, helpful staff but not obtrusive. Good selection of delicious food for breakfast. Room was clean and tidy. Plenty of car parking space.

United KingdomA bit tired/need of some upgrading. Disappointed the swimming pool unavailable. Bed did not give a good night sleep/too hard. Shower fitting coming off the wall. Did not appreciate or find amusing the Basil Fawlty poor impersonators.

The location was decent, and parking was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful, the bar stayed open later than expected and breakfast was nice.

United KingdomMuch of interior looks tired or worn e.g. peeling paint, chair in room sewn up to fix large tears, water marks all up the bathroom wall. 24 hour room service is advertised, not available and much of the menu was not available. Photos on Booking.com make the property look much more upmarket than it actually is.
The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, evening dinner menu small but really tasty. Great location.
