Hotel rooms are a little outdated but clean . The included use of gym pool etc was a massive BONUS of which I took full advantage. Lady at breakfast was wonderful and so welcoming ( Veri ) I think and a bonus she loved my aftershave ( hope she bought it ))

The spa needs an upgrade. It looks very tired

Location to the Bolton Arena is perfect. The hotel is in a quiet location and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and informative. Nice bar area in the lobby.

These are the things I didn’t like: - shower was dated - it would been nice to have water in the room - breakfast was disappointing, items not replenished, didn’t look appetising and lack of healthy option. Perhaps a separate menu to order things like avocado on toast, fresh porridge, scrambled eggs, bagels and healthier bread options. We would have been glad to pay etc. - the gym equipment is getting rusty, needs to be better maintained - none of the bikes in the main gym were switched on - lots of broken lockers in the ladies shower

The bedroom although clean shows signs of wear and tear and needs to be refurbished to the same levels as the communal areas.

Thin walls. Bathroom needs modernising. Found hairs on bed and bathroom that were not mine. Poor windows, couls not open. No air-conditioning control.

Even though it allows dogs to stay, which is great there were no dog bag bins available therefore everyone seemed to leave them in the trees and on the side of the pavement Also as we had a dog with us, they aren’t allowed in the restaurant, but it would be good if there were tables just outside the restaurant area to sit at

The only thing we didn’t like was the bed a pillows, the mattress was so hard and uncomfortable and the pillows are lumpy could do with new pillows, the room was dated.

The hotel room and the corridor was very smelling / foul odour like they house people in crisis. Carpet needs thorough cleaning.

Hotel is very dated and in need of some maintenance. For the price and the area I don’t think it’s value for money. I went for a ‘privilege room’ and my colleague had a standard and there wasn’t much difference between the two at all. Robes and slippers were advertised as part of the deal to wear in the room and neither was provided. Someone had also watered down the shampoo to make it go further which was bizarre.

Staff were polite and welcoming and the bed was comfortable.

When we arrived at 7.30pm in bar, Irene had done a lovely set up for us. Unfortunately the kitchen was only serving a limited menu, we were told the fryers were broken also and not much food available. The bar was busy with only two members of staff, and pointless serving one customer at a time, the young lad seemed to just stand at the till. There was a rather large queue gathering and people complaining. After 25 mins stood at bar, someone had taken the chairs from our resered table and we over heard yet more food was unable and the kitchen was closing at 8.30pm. We therefore made the decision to get a taxi and spend our money else where on food. The trip was to celebrate her 75th birthday. Having planned a hotel evening in as my mother is elderly and didnt wanted to stay and eat in (ie. Within hotel). Very disappointed. Paid extra for taxis to go out for food which we didn't envisage.

Irene on the bar was amazing! Set a little table for my mum and I for evening meal as was told the restaurant wasnt available & we would have to eat in bar area instead which at 5pm over the phone with Irene, we were happy to do. The receptionst on shift Saturday check in and Sunday check out was amazing also and very apologetic of the hotel failings.

Breakfast was diabolical! The food was cheap quality & plastic-y - I could barely stomach a bowl of cereal and felt like I bought a £12 coffee in the end. There is a lot of mould around the pool area & some cracking in the walls etc. Shower water pressure was pretty bad, came out in a little trickle, meaning I had to take a longer shower. Also I couldn't figure out how to turn the radiator off so my sleep became quite hot & this is a massive waste of resources - you can't claim to be "sustainable" by taking away a sewing kit from the room when all your utilities are in constant use.

Nice pool with hot tub, sauna & steam room. Bed was big & comfy, room was a good size with sound-proof walls & all the right additions for a comfortable sleep. Staff were always at hand to help & friendly. Excellent location, only 30 mins drive to Manchester, lots of parking available. Really good value for money for the facilities available and overall my stay was good!

The plug in the Sink in bathroom was broken and I was unable to keep the water in the sink There was noise during the night with people coming and going along the corridor and noise from the room next door when they came in

There was a banging sound from the radiators that started at 4am, followed by a hum from the units outside the window. The hot was hot and stuffy, however you could not open the window. The noise woke us up. We informed the receptionist but they were not very helpful.

The room was a good size and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was good quality. Staff generally were really friendly and polite.
