Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hong KongNo alcohol served - but you could bring your own onto the premises. Recommend that you book rooms on the second floor - our view on the first floor was slightly impeded by the roof, a water tank and a really poorly sited satellite dish.
It was all about the location which faced south down the valley covering both Ella and the waterfall to the SW. Excellent terrace in front of the property with uninterrupted views. The walk down into Ella took 12 minutes on foot. 500 rupees by tuk tuk back up the hill.

The location is just amazing, having a very nice view (I think the best view in Ella), the staff were really great made me feel I am at home. The breakfast is something you need to consider to have it when booking room in this place. This place is a great place for families and small size groups. Great place to have morning morning exercises (walk, jogging, yoga)

Amazing location looking out over Ella Gap and only a short drive to the centre of Ella. Lovely staff who were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent and the room was very big and spacious.

United Arab EmiratesThe breakfast offered was average at best, and the lack of trained staff was evident throughout my stay. Service was slow and often unresponsive to basic requests.Surprisingly, the hotel did not accept card payments, which is inconvenient and outdated in today's digital age.The room was infested with mosquitoes, making it uncomfortable to stay without proper insect control measures. Additionally, the absence of air conditioning exacerbated the discomfort, especially during warmer weather.There was no phone in the room, which made communication inconvenient. Moreover, the absence of a lift meant climbing several flights of stairs for every need, which was exhausting.
