Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

This hotel and it's facilities were perfectly located at the seaside in Watmau. The food was great, the staff were attentive and helpful, our room had great views over the sea and was close enough to all amenities.

Proximity to the Indian Ocean, great air conditioning (very necessary indeed!), a quiet pool as well as a bigger, louder one. All rooms have beautiful views of the ocean.

The breakfast options were standard. Wish they had more options each day. They only switched out ground provisions for lo mein and vegetable rice after two days. The breakfast was pretty bland compared to the other food available at the property

United Statesthe beach was not accessible. there was seaweed everywhere on the side beach. other properties I visited in Watamu had a beach right in front of the property that you just walk out on and it was private so no one following you or asking for money. I walked to the side beach to “try” to lay down but it was full of seaweed and before I could even put my towel on the tiny space without seeweed and trash, a beach boy came to me and would not leave my side until I walked I walked with him. I’m on holiday, didnt want to entertain anyone.
