The food provided and menu to prepare breakfast was different and unexpected. The hosts were very helpful and spoke English making our visit easy. The ambience and view were wonderful.

We definitely recommend to come by car, but the way to get there is a bit steep and narrow, do drive carefully.

If you’re looking for a relaxing place with great atmosphere and amazing view, you have to stay there. The host is super nice. The apartment we stayed in is like an old country house with three rooms and a living & kitchen area (fully equipped). View from the porch is spectacular with great BBQ in the evening (we brought our own groceries, not sure if this would be needed). We would highly recommend staying here and explore beautiful Shikoku (esp. Iya valley)!

Beautiful place with unique interiour and amazing views. Very quiet and cozy. Bedroom was amazing as well as very clean bathrooms. The terrace with grill and camping chairs was also really cool! Be mindful to have a car, as it is very tricky to get around by foot/bus/train. And the staff was simply amazing! So helpful in every aspekt!

The host is really kind. I reached Oboke station at odd hour when taxi booth was shut. He himself drove 12 Kms back and forth from the station to ensure I reach the hotel safely. He also arranged a taxi for sightseeing. The view from the window is breathtaking. It's walking distance from the oboke river and vine bridge. Couldn't have picked better accommodation.

I loved everything about this place, the location is incredible and breathtaking. I took advantage of the unbelievable view of the valley at night. The accommodation was perfect, I was provided with everything you would need here, including fridge, microwave and so on. But the owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. He gave me a tour of the accommodation and its facilities and how to use them. I could tell that a lot of the facilities were newer models like aircon and toilet seat. The owner was lovely to talk to, speak very good English(something to keep in mind for those travelling that aren't confident with Japanese) but he gave me interesting fact about the area and sent me links for activities in the area. But he also went the extra mile by holding my big luggage before check-in time. Also provided me with a taxi link in English. And finally he took the time to translate my fortune I got from the Kyoto shrine previously. The accommodation is easy the only I will stay in Shikoku in the future. 11 out of 10

Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. The location is breathtakingly beautiful; the facilities are amazing (cooking facilities and especially the espresso machine!); it is perfect for a couple, two couples, or a family to stay for a few days, relax, and explore the region. Cook or go out to eat, your choice: sit on the patio for breakfast and a good coffee and look out over the valley, or enjoy a drink at night and gaze at the stars. The owners are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Finally, the place has fast wifi and is absolutely spotless. Highly recommended!
