For the level of the hotel I don't expect anything more. The breakfast is fine, but I found my bed to be a little uncomfortable this visit. It would be nice to have another pillow on the bed. 次回はベッドに追加の枕をリクエストしたい。 I stay here often when scuba diving and will return.

This hotel is super close to Atami Station. It's an easy walk. Breakfast is basic, but adequate and fresh. They offer curry and rice, Miso soups, various breads, sometimes eggs and sausage and coffee and juice etc.

There are so many room and it has 11 floors, but only 1 lift ( elevator ) works and I should wait for 3-5minites to go Ground floor by the lift. if I forget something, it takes 10 minutes sometimes.

I stayed the hotel just to sleep so I did not expext too much. However, the room is big enough to sleep by myself and everything is clean.

The elevator wait time can be a bit long as there’s only one servicing 12/13 floors. Only one pillow on the bed.

It's a shame that smoking is allowed. The smoke from the smoking floors inevitably contaminates the rest of the hotel. The stench in the elevator is awful.

The high point for me was the breakfast. It was well prepared and tasty. And the hotel is a short walk from the train station.

The place has very strict cleaning policies for the rooms, asking that you remain outside from 10am until 4pm if you want your room cleaned, meaning you cannot just go out for lunch and return a couple of hours later. Check out is also at 10am, and checkin, 4pm. For that same reason, I could not check in on the first day once arriving at the hotel at around 3pm,

Room was clean and very close to the station in Atami. Ground floor has some amenities that made the life easier, such as coin laundry service, microwave and vending machines at a lower price than outside the hotel. Staff was the positive part of the stay, Atami is a beach side city, I am visiting during winter, which meant most of the city was closed very early, without many dinner options past 6pm, meaning the hotel amenities did help overcome that issue.

However, for a multi-chain hotel such as Toyoko inn, there is only ONE elevator for a 11-floor building, that is incomprehensible. This is my only and biggest problem with this hotel. The building has 11 floors of people and only 1 elevator going up and down — you can imagine the wait time. Installing an elevator is not a straightforward upgrade to the hotel; therefore, I do not think this would ever be changed. Nonetheless, if you decide to stay at this hotel, remember to leave 5-10 min earlier than planned.

The "good" is obviously the convenience of the location — busstops are located right outside the hotel, and the station is 5 mins walk away.
