- We couldn’t even sit in the shared area. Personel said that it is reserved for potential afternoon tea guest, even though all tables were empty… (they serve tea for guest but only once during your stay). So if you want to seat at the table with a laptop etc you can’t do it, so we had to work from bed.. - parking is expensive

Very clean, friendly service and staff. Small room but fine for us and pretty standard as it generally can be in Japan. Lovely complimentary afternoon tea on our first day and good breakfast included. Location excellent to explore the old town Bikan quarter.

The staff cannot communicate well(not language barrier). The information relayed by each staff were inconsistent. They made a mistake and did not apologize. The service was bad. No sense or organization.

The hotel was lovely, they offered us a Halloween themed tea that was very funny and tasty. The room was clean and neat. The Staff was helpful and kind. Really reasonable price for a double bedroom.

The price, we are talking about 5 star hotel price but the place was avarage. Breakfast is served as a packed bag which consists of a sandwich and snacks, I would expect a continental buffet as a minimun. Room service did not make up our beds, they just cleaned.

Amazing - how they provide such quality for the price is beyond my comprehension - it is a truely wonderful site - great venue, terrific staff and the high tea that they provided on arrival was beyond anything I could have imagined - sensational - if I could give then a 12 instead of 10 I would.

Nothing, everything was great.

Everything! The room was very spatious, the bathroom spotless, with a large bathtub. We got a free generous afternoon tea as a welcome gift which were surprisingly good quality. Free tea and coffee during the day. Reception was smooth and we could check in an hour before as the cleaning was done. It's just located in front of the historic center, and about 10-12 mn walking from Jr station. Very good value for money, highly recommend.

the noise in the room from next door guests and the fan machines that are constantly on so we didn t sleep well at all! the walls are so so thin and although we liked the spacious room (bigger than any other Hotel visited in Japan) we were so disappointed about all the noises!

Wish they offered breakfast service as the cafes in the area all opened late.

The location of the hotel is only 2 minutes walk (effectively across the road) from the start of Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. Whilst the price and staff service was typical business hotel, the hotel lobby and the rooms were spacious and comfortable and much more like 3 or 4 star hotel. I would highly recommend arriving in time in the afternoon or early evening for their complementary afternoon tea as it is a amazing.

The included afternoon tea on our check-in was fantastic and totally unexpected. All staff were attentive and the 2 rooms we had were well appointed and clean. Kurashiki has been a highlight for our trip to date.
