The breakfast is not bad. But it's all put in a paper box, which feels weird. And there's only instant coffee.

The place is literally steps away from the tourist attractions. The rooms are pretty spacious, clean and bright.

The hard, uncomfortable bed and pillows, no real coffee unless you had breakfast box.

The location to the old town was really good. The room was very clean and quite large for Japan.

The coffee machine was only available in the late afternoon. The beds were large single beds. No good for honeymooners or a married couple who, like us, like to cuddle each other at night. Fortunately, we could move the bedside table from between the beds and push them together. Had to make sure, though, that I didn't slip down the crack in the middle at 3am!

They provided new guests with a welcome afternoon tea which was lovely. They had a coffee machine that made reasonable lattes.

Heard some noises coming from the outside as our room was right beside the emergency exit stairways.

I liked that the staff was upfront about when we could have the afternoon tea. We decided to have it right after check-in as we were going somewhere further from the hotel the next day and we don't want to return to do so. Being right beside the historical quarter, it was convenient for us to visit too. Located about 10 minutes walk from the train station, one might want to consider taking a taxi if you don't want to carry your luggage to the hotel

    Nothing to complain about.

Very nice big room, we even had two windows. Very close to the old town area to walk around. Staff was very helpful and even advised where we could get cheap parking. Breakfast was included in such a low price but it was a pre-packed one, so no choice in what you got. It was quite big though

Breakfast was served in a form of sandwich boxes with instant coffee and some cold sandwiches, definitely didn't meet the expectations.

Hotel is located very close to historic part of the city. The room was pretty big compared to other hotels I've stayed in Japan. The view from the room was great – from our room we saw the sunrise and nice hill of Mukoyama park.

Comfortable and tastifully decorated hotel at a perfect location

The breakfast box with sandwiches was somehow very simplistic, although you can have as much tea/coffee as you want. Nevertheless, the complimentary high-tea more than compensated the simplistic breakfast.

Our reservation included a surprise high-tea in the afternoon which was very tasty, and a breakfast box in the morning. The lobby is very spacious and tastifully conceived/decorated. The personnel was very friendly. The room was spacious and the hotel location was perfect for exploring the ancient city neighborhood (3 min. walk).

You can't use the water in the lobby after the restaurant closes. But a convenience store is near so that's fine.

Very close to 美觀地區 which is the best tourist area in 倉敷 (only 3 min walk). The afternoon dessert set was great.

About 12-15mins walk from Kurashiki station. Not bad, just be prepared of walking. The online check-in in advance didn't seem saved time when we arrived.

Walking distance from Kurashiki station. Very close to a convenient store. The Kurashiki bikan historical quarter (tourist place) is across the street. Less than 10 mins walking to Ohara Art Museum. Good access to restaurants. Afternoon tea is worth trying, with a great variety choices of tea (bags). Good relaxing pause for a trip.
