The hotel is extremely hard to reach in the later evening. As we arrived late we were too late to book breakfast and hotel staff could not do anything about it, no help even if we agreed with some very simple breakfast like cooked egg. The facilities in the room are working just fine but really old. Smaller onsen is poor. Hot stone spa is not a spa, it's just any overheated hamam. Dinner that was kinda costly was poor other than initial few dishes (bento was amazing and as always fish is great in Japan, but Waugh was non edible, extremely chewy, final dish was pasta and rice just to fill us up with something I guess. Personnel speaks close just a very few words in English. There is only one shop and very few places to eat in proximity. Disappointed in general thus we moved to other hotel in Hakone.

The room was clean and spacious. Private Jakuzzi was extremely nice, nite that it is due to reservation and additional payment, first part of kaiseki dinner (due to additional payment) was nice but then it went a bit of downhill. The bigger onsen is nice (onsens are being rotated between male and female each morning).

The location is a bit hard to locate and the parking space is not easy to park after dark

The breakfast is very good by mixing western style to Japanese food. Onsen is clean and quiet as kids are not welcome

Location is a walk from the bus stop.

When I arrived, the staff gave me a complementary sparkling wine.I really enjoyed speaking with Eru. I think she was very helpful and courteous. The driver who gave me a complementary ride to the bus stop was also great.

The meals I had in the hotel were excellent. They were not only food but also presentation of the Japanese culture. The staff was very professional and friendly. The hot spring air bath on the balcony of the unit made the stay exceptional.

There was a loud screeching noise in the dining room. You can get there with a bus, but I would recommend using a car as its a long walk from the bus stop (especially if its raining)

The attention to detail from the moment we checked in. The room was huge with a beautiful view and an outdoor hot tub. The food was amazing.

I personally give a mediocre vote to the service. For some reason, we were really late for the checkout. I emailed the hotel twice throughout the day, but there was never an answer. The man who checked us in was really nice. However, he didn't tell us we had to reserve breakfast for the day after. So we missed it. When we checked out, the man was kinda rude. Good experience, but for the price and Japanese standards, I expected better.

The facility was stunning. We had the king-size room with our private little onsen outside. Mountain wiew, we couldn't ask for more. If you have tattoos, you are not allowed into the shared bath. Room deserves a 10.

    Nothing to complain.

Very nice hotel, you get a welcome drink when you check in, the dinner is very much a recommendation from our site. Delicious and a nice event. If you stay there, book the dinner! The onsen is small but hot and clean. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Not the largest, but large enough. The staff is helpful and friendly. We would stay there again. We stayed in more expensive hotels in that area which where much worse in terms of service and quality of... everything.

The onsen baths that are available for guests staying at there aren't a variety of bath options. We had our own in our room on the balcony.

The location is remote to 30mins drive from Hakone. It was a really peaceful place, no kids were staying as it is adult only. Mostly couples staying, we selected to have breakfast and dinner during our stay as there isn't a lot of options available in the area.Food was really good.

The shower room door wasn’t closing properly and the AC was quite loud at night. Wish the hotel also had a western option for breakfast. Rice for dinner and than rice for breakfast was a bit too much. The quality of food was amazing though.

Lots of space and tasteful design! It was one of the largest rooms I’ve probably stayed in Japan. Comfortable beds, great amenities, chilled water in the fridge and a coffee maker! The highlight was the hinoki (?) bathtub overlooking the garden spacious entrance enough to stretch out legs and relax in hot water. Wish it was hot spring water, too but hot springs are only in the common area. Dinner was awesome with a great variety of small dishes still quite filling. For this who wish a chilled beer after onsen there’s a vending machine in the hallway. One day wasn’t enough, would love to come again.

The opening of the room isn't very well designed - when you keep your shoes there, it's difficult to open the door fully.

The room was beautiful, we had all the privacy we needed. I also liked that they provided a Bluetooth speaker and good Wi-Fi. The breakfast and dinner provided were fantastic.

Some good points like the dinner and good comfort but some parts of the building are a bit old.

It's unfortunate but in our room for that specific night we got some bad smell in our bathroom coming from the pipes. It only lasted a couple of hours and it was confined to the bathroom but when you pay for this kind of hotel it kind of broke the experience. A staff tried to help removing the odor but he was a bit clumsy in doing it. Although it has been renovated you can realize that it's ultimately an old building. Some parts are properly renovated, some are definitely "old".

The welcome was really nice. First time checking-in at a bar with an offered drink. Nice lobby with a warm design. Possibility for men and women to choose their yukata pattern and color. I took the plan with the dinner and it was a good Japanese-Western fusion course experience. The bed are comfy.

The staff were very helpful and communicated with us in English. The room was very large, with an entry way, a large room, shower, and patio with private soaking bath. Since we had the private bath, instead of using the public one, we used the private one on our patio. It had a nice view out to nature. The shower itself was very large and also had a direct door to the patio and bath. We had the breakfast there and it was very filling and delicious.

The temperature of the outdoor Onsen tubs are not adjustable, so bringing cold water from the tap, in the shower bucket may be recommended, if the heat is too intense.

The Japanese are fond of very stiff beds and futons. If you are a fan of the soft pillow top mattresses found in the west, this will likely be the most comfortable bed you find in the country.

The staff went above and beyond my expectations. To start, I had a lot of questions and concerns prior to the stay, even up to the day before! All of my questions were answered as swiftly as possible (given the time difference). When even I was in Japan, they replied within the next few hours! I should also note that I used both English and machine translated Japanese to make things a bit easier. The rooms were fantastic! I had 3 rooms booked, one with an outside bath (not onsen), one with an onsen, and a regular room. The regular room looked like a regular western hotel room (NOT a japanese business hotel room so you actually have space to move around!). The room with the onsen is in a separate building across the street. The onsen can fit 2 people comfortable and has a nice view of a private garden. The room is also quite spacious with a living room area. The room with the outdoor bath is the biggest of the 3 we booked. The bath was large enough for a single person to stretch out and take a nap. I was the only to use the bath so I can't say how many people can fit comfortably. In terms of the other facilities, there's two public onsens (public in the sense that any guest can use it). There's a large and "small" bath, separated by men and women and rotated throughout the day. While knowing the kanji for men and women would generally be useful, the colored banners reflect which one is which and the large onsen is labeled. The "small" onsen isn't really small. It can comfortable fit a good amount of people. It's small in the sense that the larger one has 2 onsens, one of the same size and one that's smaller but also outside. I personally like the outside onsen. The restaurant is spacious and wasn't overcrowded (I'm guessing there's multiple dinner times). The dinner and breakfast menus were absolutely delicious! Lastly, the staff are super accommodating!
