Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe hotel facility is outdated. The choice for breakfast and dinner was rather limited. The communication with the hotel staff in English was rather difficult.
The rooms are large and well equipped with all you need. The hotel staff was kind and helpful. The beach in front of the hotel is nice but due to the typhoon Kanun we were not able to use it at all.

JapanIt is difficult to judge, but I would expect it to be a beach resort with some activity on the hotel beach, unfortunately one of two beaches was closed and there was not much activity on the second beach. Beach sun bed and umbrella to be rented for a reasonable price. The beach need some cleaning from a sea grass and pieces of plastic, not many people used the beach after all. May be its all about a "low season" but can not say for sure. Overall hotel is still good value for its money, just missing few nice touches.
Overall it was a pleasant stay, good value for its money and If you rent a car, it is a good place to stay in Okinawa. Very close to Okinawa Aquarium and few diving shops nearby, I took "TI Ocean" for diving and snorkling (20min away).

JapanThe room is old, the glass door through to the view sea have a little of salty, actually not cleaned clearly. I try to erase but it's so difficult and morw sympathetic toward hotel management.
The view sea actually is wonderful, I feel comfortable because of it. When I try to swim into the sea, lifeguard is keep watching us for safety. Finally in my opinion, the dinner and breakfast really delicious with Blue wave - Significant ice cream in Okinawa.

AustraliaFirst room smelt (to me) heavily of mould, didn’t smell right at all, it baffles me as to why it hasn’t been addressed. Second room had a faulty auto close front door (ie it didn’t close when expected) which both myself and the staff encountered.
Incredible view, spacious room, great shower pressure.

AustraliaAbsolutely loved the location of this hotel. It is situated right next to the beach and all rooms have spectacular ocean views. I also was very happy with the buffet breakfast offering. The facilities seem a bit old and could definitely do with some renovation but overall this place definitely offers value for money.

United Statesthe facet for the hot and cold water wouldn’t budge for any cold so I took a really really hot shower. it hurt, but I’m not burned in anyway, couldn’t stand under the water though. I enjoy hot showers but that was even a bit too much for me. parking was a bit confusing and limited. I didn’t know if parking across the street was for the hotel or for the nature park, I could not tell. ended up walking a bit to get back to the hotel after I finished my job while wearing heels in the dark.
-very nice, lots of room! was a little confused about how to turn on the lights and ac, but you activate them by putting the key in the wall I think the instructions say that but I can’t read Japanese very well. -the view was absolutely breath taking, the little patio outside my room was perfect for looking at the ocean. -there was also a personal beach I had access to, I didn’t go but it was lovely to see the sand area clean and the water net up. -the staff was very friendly and respectful. when I called confused about the lights, the associate was polite, friendly, and showed up quickly to help me. -vending machine for drinks on the second floor I think came in handy. I didn’t have time for food so I was thankful for it. google maps said there was a restaurant across the street for those who are hungry but I didn’t have time. -the room was very clean, bed was tidy and comfortable, I bring my own sheets but when I looked around and under the bed I didn’t see any scary stuff like bugs or dirt. -front desk receptionist were very friendly and even though I knew limited Japanese, they were eager to help and brought out a translator speaking device so we could understand each other! they also gave me a little map so I could find my room and such.

CanadaThe rooms felt a little bit dated, but honestly for the price were completely fine. Everything worked, the staff was wonderful. COVID had resulted in a lot of things being closed (watersports, squash courts etc) and the hotel being relatively empty. That is far more a reflection of when I visited than anything within the hotels control. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.
The breakfast was extensive and generally well done. It contained a wide array of western breakfast foods (yogurt, cereal, pancakes, croissants, toast), western lunch foods (spaghetti, salad), a bunch of Japanese breakfast foods, drinks, etc. There were dozens of different food options from tofu burgers to fresh fruit to soup. The views from the hotel were breathtaking.

JapanI realize there’s nothing you can do about it, but I’m 6’3” so the bathroom was a little tight. My Son and I aren’t real keen on seafood. More Western food would definitely be better.

NetherlandsThe hotel looks a little old (at least the part where we stayed). The furniture looks old and dirty in many places. Some of the furniture is covered, but the cover itself is also dirty, which is a little strange. The bedding itself was clean. Therefore the very first impression of the room is not great, but later on other positive aspects win over and the overall expression from our stay was still very positive. Perhaps, if we consider to visit again we would try to book a room in a newer part (there are 2 separate buildings).
Great view, great beach, nice restaurant, super clean bathroom and toilet. Good facilities for extra water activities, although they were rather limited during the time when we stayed. Great breakfast. There is an evening cafe outside, right near the beach which offers some limited drinks, but this is sufficient to relax and enjoy the sunset. Bus shuttle stop (directions to the airport and aquarium) is right next to the hotel.

United KingdomEverything was kind of out of date. The room I stayed in was with a small kitchen area but not supposed to be used. Nothing apart from two Japanese tea packs. I’d hope there are some instante coffee for alternative options. The view from the balcony was great, but hope there would be table and chairs. Nevertheless, it was good value for getting the beautiful view. I’d suggest you to get everything you want in a hotel from a convenience store in advance.
I liked the view from the balcony, the room was big compare with other hotel rooms in japan.

NetherlandsRoom was old and kind of moldy. Big balcony but no furniture to sit on, or even a table. Shower was old and the kitchenette was laughably decrepit. Miles away from anything except the bus stop, but the restaurant is really expensive. Bath and gym both closed, no reason or alternatives given. Oh and you had to stop swimming at 18h00 for no reason.
