I stay here everytime I'm in Tokyo and always have a great experience. When my transport was cancelled due to the typhoon, they were very quick and helpful to accommodate a last minute booking for an extra night and even moved my luggage to my new room. Everything is so comfortable and in a great location.

Great location with Ikebukuro station less than 10 minutes walk away plus Higashi-Ikebukuro station almost across the road. Super close to Sunshine City for shopping and the aquarium and plenty of convenience stores moments away. My room was very clean and neat and big enough for a solo traveller, the toiletries and tea/coffee facilities in the room were very good and the self serve amenities station at the front desk was a bonus. Breakfast was good, plenty of variety and freshly made. The breakfast area wasn’t the biggest space, however, I never had to wait for a spot to sit and it was kept clean by the staff. Reception staff were very friendly and polite and while they spoke only a little English and I speak very little Japanese we were able to communicate and there was always a friendly greeting from them whenever I walked through the lobby. Also really loved that they change the towels daily but don’t service the room daily, only every four days of your stay - I can make my own bed and don’t see having room service for it each day necessary. Overall, I was really happy with my stay and would definitely look to stay again next time I visit Tokyo

This is my 4th time staying here and it is always such a welcoming and comfortable place. The location is in a nice quiet area of Ikebukuro but still close to the central areas. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there are plenty of amenities.

I feel the staff lack proper communication skills not just in the language but when ask for something. They simply said no without even trying to understand and this is most disappointing.

I have stayed in this hotel at least on 4 separate occasions but this will probably be the last time. Previously I felt the staff were friendly but this time I don’t.

Attentive and friendly staff, fantastic breakfast buffet (both Japanese and western/Italian style food), and a simple and comfortable room. Perfect for solo travelers; Ikebukuro is a wonderful neighborhood to explore.

It’s very old and dirty: 1. Clean service only every 4 days, which was not shown when I made the booking 2. The AC’s wind tunnel was super dusty and dirty, I felt the air coming from AC is dirty too 3. I was wearing long sleeve and long pants pajama when I was sleeping, but I feel very itchy, which is unusual, normally it won’t happen. I think it’s probably because the bed or bed sheet is not clean 4. Behind TV and below bench is super dirty too, never cleaned probably 5. Last, the window was to another building, it was so close that I got very little nature light, day time is like evening All in all, I think this hotel is old and dirty without nature light, not worth the money I’m paying

The only thing that was a bit strange was that they clean on day 4 of your stay - which is fine, except that the clean happened the day before we left. Just seemed a bit of a waste of time and resources. We would have been happy to miss the clean.

This hotel was located in a great part of Tokyo - out of the craziness of Shibuya but really close to the train station for easy access across the city. The rooms were a really great size considering being in the heart of Tokyo and everything was very clean and well presented. The breakfast was good and was a good start to the day.

The cleanliness of the AC (air conditioning) was an absolute drawback. It was full with dust which barely cooled the room. It’s quite concerning especially if someone with allergies is staying. So the Hotel need to look on that

Absolutely loved this hotel! The staff were super attentive, always on point. Plus, getting fresh pajamas every day was a sweet touch. Location-wise, it’s a winner - right in the heart of everything. Made my stay super convenient and enjoyable. Check out time is also convinient is at 11!!

On the my return to Tokyo, my room was facing an adjacent building meaning I had virtually no natural light. Since I wasn't looking for a luxury experience and was only staying for a few days I didn't mind it, but I would take care to make sure I wasn't in the same room again on a repeat visit.

I had a chance to try out a few business hotels including Resol, APA and Tokyo. There products are all very similar in the same price point, with near identical layout and size, however I found Resol to be the friendliest and I liked their warm minimalist design, with pastel colours, wood finishing and carpet. The breakfast was varied and tasty and the staff were friendly. I would definitely return on my next visit.

My mattress in room 210 where I stayed was broken, the spring pop out from the bed (the side where customers always sit on).

The rooms were dusty, pillows were flat and only 1 were provided. Housekeeping only done on the fourth day. You are required to change the towels and dustbin covers on your own and place at your door every morning. No one will come to do housekeeping. Feels like Airbnb than a hotel. Hotel staff are not able to converse in English and were unable to find a cab service to ferry my family to the airport on the last day. Breakfast was mediocre and by 8.30am, the food were mostly unavailable. Chef was unfriendly and didn’t paid attention when we requested for more croissant though the basket was empty.

Fantastic location. Near Shopping mall (Sunshine City). Amenities are self service at the lobby.
