Relatively basic Breakfast needs to be enhanced (limited choice, fresh fruits, more choice) Opening hours should be up to 10am instead of current 9am!

The breakfast was not that good and the boiled eggs were super overcooked.

Good location right next to the train and bus station. The rooms are large and comfortable even though they are quite dated. The staff at the reception are very nice and welcoming. You can store luggage before and after checkout.

The breakfast was very unhealthy, no meat, mostly rice, margarine and vegetables. The beds were incredibly tiny, we booked the room with 2 single beds and they felt more like for children or adults under 50 kg

The location is very good, it’s just across the bus stop to the main attraction. The onsen was cozy too, quite basic but nice after a long day of walking

Nothing in particular. Nothing to do with the hotel, but the night-life and dining options somewhat subdued. We did visit in November, many venues closed early.

Great location opposite the station. Older property and larger than your typical Japanese hotel room. Exceptionally clean. Friendly and attentive staff. Very handy parking next to the hotel and also well priced with hotel discount.

It's not the most modern accommodations, and the beds were the smallest and most uncomfortable on our entire trip. That being said, we still slept well enough. We found one too many stray, long black hairs on the floor in our room though...(no one in our party has long black hair).

It's important to have some perspective when rating this property. If you spent the entirety of your trip staying at flagship Marriott/Hilton in major metropolitan areas, you're going to have a bad time if you compare this location to those properties. That being said, for what it is, it's terrific for exploring Nikko. Our favorite part was the location; it's right off the Tobu and JR stations. Furthermore, it's right next to the bus stop for the world heritage site and Lake Chuzenji, making it extremely easy to get around. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. Additionally, the breakfast was much more than we anticipated it to be and was very tasty (still a continental breakfast though).

The breakfast is very poor. The spa is very little, I have to wait for taking a baht because there is only six seats to serve, and no any facilities in the spa room.

The location and the staff is OK.

Really great location right next to the bus/train stations. The easy access to public transportation was perfect for a shorter trip, and it was very walkable as well within Nikko! The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable, and the onsen was a great way to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

Very basic breakfast. Not a lot of English spoken here, but hey you've always got Google Translate! Nothing fancy about this place but for exploring Nikko for a couple of days it's fine.

Handy location. Staff were helpful when I needed to make a phone call at the desk.

Personal bathroom amenities didn’t include facewasher towel. Toiletries had to be collected from reception which was less convenient. Small inconveniences.

Lovely Onsen, indoor and outdoor hot bath. Good breakky. Room and bed comfy, room roomy by Japanese standards. Nice to have a little table and chair setting. The staff were very helpful with directions and explaining facilities.

The hotel’s building is a bit old. The bed was very very firm so it made it hard to sleep. The bathroom for some reason didn’t smell that good.

The location of the hotel was great. It was close to everywhere I needed to go. I was worried about going to the onsen but the staff was very informative. There’s an ice cream machine right outside of the onsen.

Our spacious room was warm during our visit, and we were unable to control the air-conditioning as it was set centrally for the whole hotel. An additional towel rail in the bathroom would be helpful.

Great t location. Really good breakfast with variety offered. Staff attentive and caring, always willing to help. We made good use of the onsen on a number of occasions.
