Room is a little small which is the norm. However, this hotel has everything we need and more such as the welcome donuts and drinks from vending machine and self serve amenities at lobby. Love all these additional touches which deserve 5 stars! Keep it up!

The refillable shampoo & soap bottles were running out on the last day but the housekeeper must have overlooked it. Good thing is, there are a lot of shampoo & soap samplings at the lobby to pick up.

Small but comfortable room. Clean. Very close to JR Nagano station and all the restaurants. Staffs were very friendly & helpful. Welcome drinks are drinks from the vending machine to pick from, very practical.

We would love to see them switch from single use plastic articles (cutlery and cups etc.) to reusable alternatives for sustainability reasons.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet was amazing with daily changing dishes and lots of vegetarian options. The room was spacious enough, clean and very well equipped, the mattress was comfortable. They provide lots of free amenities such as welcome donuts, a pillow exchange service and sanitary articles. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The location is awesome right next to the main station.

The staff were welcoming and the hotel had a nice atmosphere. We had a clean comfortable room. The selection of pillows and other amenities on the ground floor was a first for us. Breakfast was exceptional with fresh local food.

Trying to access the room cast on the tv was a bit difficult for one of us.

Close to the train station. Lockers to put luggage in if early or on a trip after departure were great. Staff helped us out when a wheel fell of the suitcase which was great.

The room was on the small side, and the bed was quite hard.

We stayed one night, and found the staff were friendly and welcoming. It provides everything you need and in a good location for food and the station. You could pick up additional amenities that you needed, different types of pillows and a complimentary vending machine drink. For the price it's great value.

Room size was typically small but quite average by Japanese hotel standards. The bathroom was good but purely functional. It was like a "porta loo" style that had been dropped into the room but was a great shower, very clean & did the job.

Breakfast was very good for a westerner. The breakfast room was very functional & not really comfortable or appealing but that is the Japanese way. The location was superb. We visited Nagano to see the snow monkeys & mountains. good for the monkeys but a long way to the mountains & not much info on getting to interesting places.

Some of the rooms are ridiculously small, even by Japanese standards. One room I got was taken up entirely by the double bed! So I was essentially sleeping with my luggage next to me on the bed. Its popular, so if you want the option to move to a more appropriate room, check in early.

I would second most of the positive comments on here. Clean and well appointed. The staff are especially nice and try to accommodate all customer requests (within reason). Excellent service! Free donuts at check in is the best idea ever! Hope to come back next season!
