Scent of the bath soap ( although its a minor issue) as the bathroom was spacious and nice.

Excellent location, walking distance to Kyoto train station and shopping centers. Spacious room and comfortable beds. Great for stay in Kyoto if taking early train elsewhere. Wonderful staff as they were helpful and prompt in responding to queries😃

Location, location!!! Hotel New Hankyu Kyoto is right in the center of Kyoto. Perfect 10/10 for us. Perfect home base to explore Kyoto. Just in front of the Kyoto Station (train & bus) so its accessible to all modes of transportation. Everything we need from food to shopping is just around it such as Porta (underground mall), JR Isetan, Tashiyama, Yodobashi Kyoto,etc. Staff are very hospitable and kind. There's unlimited supply of tea & coffee at the front desk. Toiletries are readily available. Glad they do daily cleaning. Room space is the standard size in Japan. We were placed in a room with a nice view of Kyoto Station. We were not able to taste their buffet breakfast since we opted to eat out, so I gave it a 9. Otherwise, we were very much satisfied with our stay. Highly recommended hotel. We will book here again next time.

The hotel has a excellent location close to the train station. The rooms were quite spacious.

Although we stayed for 6 nights, we were given a room facing the railway station and streets, which were noisy throughout the night. The Hotel should provide long-stay guests with quieter rooms. There should be coin-operated washing machines and dryers in the Hotel.

Being located in close proximity to railway and bus stations, the Hotel allows guests to conveniently travel to several places of interest.

Unbeatable location right across from Kyoto Station with its countless food and shop choices. Great price/value, as the room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was amazing, super helpful and attentive

Bed is soft (I do like a firm bed). Only 1 pillow is provided (not sure if we can request for more). The room is a bit too dark. Small room as well (although I believe this can be expected in most Japan hotels). The rooms may need to be renovated as it seems a bit old.

Location is very near the station and bus stop. A very short walk to one of the entrances of a mall that is connected to the station. As Kyoto station is very big, even though it is very near, the walk from station (especially if you're coming from Asty road), to the hotel is still a bit far (maybe 7-10 mins walk). It is near other malls as well. Near to a lot of eating places. Even though the hotel is a bit old, everything you will need for the stay is provided.

Just opposite to the Kyoto Station. It had spacious rooms which was really helpful and relieving. Little bit of an old type hotel but had all the facilities and breakfast was good as well. Location is 11/10.

All was great

It's right in front of the train station. We were able to left our luggage before check-in and after check-out. Breakfast was OK. Staff very polite, friendly and helpful. We had a comfortable stay.

Hotel is a little tired, small room. Reception staff member rude when we asked for an extra pillow. When we asked the housekeeping staff they were more than happy to give us extra.

Room got a bit too hot at times, and the aircon wasn't great. Room was also smaller than expected but doable.

Location - across the road from Kyoto station and so many eateries and shopping malls. Reception staff were extremely helpful and professional as were the cleaning staff. Vending machines on every floor. Partner reckons the futon mattress laid out on tatami mats made for a great sleep.

The hotel is a bit small as compared to other 3 stars hotel that I stayed during my visit in Japan.

The property is old but clean. The location is just opposite Kyoto train and bus station. It is very convenient for those planning to take local bus to mingle around Kyoto.
