In the toilet the step on the floor for the walk-in shower is a bit dangerous (maybe add a warning sign!)

The cafe at the entrance is great to chill. The location is amazing if you're not looking for too touristy areas (and it's great to go out at night too!)

A stylish small hotel, well-designed and in a very attractive area. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the outside seating area and the coffee shop in the lobby were a very enjoyable bonus.

Walls could use a repaint! Our room was partially dirty on walls. Bathrooms are like being in a caravan all plastic lined and no windows. I preferred our other Tokyo hotel over this for price.

The quiet location and big steps outside away from the party Shimo-kitz area is nice. It’s 10 min walk to metro. Lots of express train go thru so easy to reach Shibuya, shinjuku etc. Bear in mind it’s an hour to Haneda though. Rooms were small but bigger than expected. Local curry restaurants (it’s a curry area) are excellent.

This hotel is well located in an exciting but calm area, near to lots of great food and drinks. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed our time in Tokyo very much! If you want somewhere bustling this maybe isn't the place for you, but we loved being located somewhere that was a nice escape from the busy city centre.

Rooms are pretty simple for the price, no views on the first floor if you are facing the front.

Good location in walking distance from subway stations in very quiet area. Excellent record collection that you can borrow from, each room has a record player. Nice bagel breakfast and cafe and bar on premises.

There’s only one common space thats shared with the cafe, it’s busy so felt like I couldnt hang out in my comfy clothes or find a quiet space to chill (unless I was in my room.)

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for us as the area, restaurants and shops were our vibe. Really nice touch to have a record collection to choose from in your room!

Our room was small, no window to the outside.

Shimokitazawa is a lively neighborhood. The hotel is about a 5 min walk from the train station, with easy access to Shinshuko and Shibuya by train. The hotel has a comfortable lobby with a coffee shop and an outside patio.

The living section of the building and quarters itself are barebones and could do with small updates. Small things such as painting the walls with a fresh coat, and perhaps changing out the carpet for easier to clean floors would help with the vibe of the rooms and hallways. I'm sure it's clean, but with marks on the walls and ground, it gives the sense that there isn't much care put into upkeep. Lastly, walls are definitely not soundproof; it was louder than any of the other hotels I stayed at in Japan.

The location was incredible. Close to cute cafés, restaurants, and the vintage stores in Shimokitazawa. The concept of the common space (the café and outdoor space) and the vinyls is lovely.

- Tiny rooms! - No breakfast option, although you can buy a sandwich and coffee downstairs - Not too close to the station, so if you have luggage then you have a fair distance to walk

Great location! Shimokitazawa is a fabulous place to be. So many great Izakayas and shopping. Also really close to Shibuya and Shinjuku. The hotel itself is cute and decently appointed. Good coffee sold downstairs. Staff is super helpful. You can borrow bicycles!

I did not love that we bought a METRO train ticket and the nearest train stations were not on this. Our mistake, but annoying.
