The location was very good as it is 2 minutes away from the train station and popular shopping and dining areas are just a 15-20 minute ride away, it would have been better if it was closer but it was not a major issue

I’m not exactly sure what kinds of activities have gone down in this hotel in the past, but there’s a lot of strict rules and some (although not all!) of the staff are very unfriendly.

This place is good, but wasn’t one of my favorite stays in Japan. Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful, some of them are kind of rude. My room was spacious, which was nice. It had a nice bath tub. The shower head sprays water all over the bathroom which I don’t really understand, even though there is a drain on the floor, it’s still weird and not the most comfortable shower to take if you’re not a super tall person. There was no conveniently located outlet near the beds. Breakfast was okay, not my favorite of all the hotels I stayed in while in Japan, but there are plenty of cafes nearby. Bed is plenty comfortable. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s directly across he street from the subway line, there’s a 7 Eleven right on the corner. The neighborhood is VERY lovely to walk around in. Lots of restaurants and cafes all around, good ones too. Quiet location. Might be worth checking out other hotels in the same neighborhood. This place isn’t terrible and I’d stay here again if needed, it just wasn’t my favorite. Rooms were clean though, which I appreciated.

They seemed to offer an amazing buffet breakfast. Its a pity they didn't offer something similar at dinner time as its a quieter area without loads of restaurants in the immediate vicinity and sometimes after a full day out in Tokyo which has a lot to see, it would have been nice to be able to enjoy a glass of wine and a meal at the hotel and just relax.

The hotel was well located and in a nice quiet area while still offering the convenience of a subway station across the road. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The complimentary green tea was a nice touch.

The room was mostly clean, however top of the wardrobe cabinet was not dusted, same with bathroom light and other ceiling fixtures in the bathroom.

Very close to Hanzomon metro, so easy connection to other metro/rail lines to go around Tokyo. The hotel also offers very good breakfast buffet- they offer options for a Japanese, other Asian, and Intercontinental breakfast.

Relatively simple hotel for a 3 star. Eg no seating in hotel lobby, simple rooms. Even for Tokyo standards the price was high for what you get, but maybe it;'s all about location, location.

Straightforward hotel at great location: entrance of metro system right across the street. Therfor excellent place for visiting Tokyo by metro. In quiet district, almost no street noise. And as requested they gave us nextdoor and quiet rooms. Clean, Good breakfast.

A safe would have been good. The shower is at two fixed heights, like many Japanese showers, but the higher one is too high - meaning it’s impossible to be in there and not get your hair soaked. Otherwise, all fine.

Good location - walking distance to the imperial palace and a 35 min walk to Ginza although it’s also right by a metro station. Room small but not particularly by Tokyo standards. Comfortable beds, good aircon. We didn’t get breakfast there but there’s a fantastic French bakery a block away. Lots of convenience stores also around.

I really like the location and the service of this hotel. It offers face masks, green tea and coffee for free, which is perfect for refreshing during the trip. I would like to recommend this hotel for my friends.

Tried using the washer/dryer, but the facility is a little confusing to get to, and the dryer takes multiple cycles to dry. Not really a huge issue, though. Also received a notice about fines for large trash for a box that would've fit in their bin.

Check-in was very smooth, they also helped with additional rental request, left out lots of free amenities and were easy to negotiate with. They helped handle my baggage beyond their requirements too. Rooms were cleaned even during off hours and well kept. Good location, nearest station is also immediately outside hotel.

We had an extra bed in the room for our son and it can be slightly cramped but still ample for a Tokyo hotel room. Just be sensible about what to expect and leave the extra large suitcase at home.

Located just across the road from one of the Hanzomon underground exits including a lift exit makes this an easy hotel to get to from many locations across Tokyo. Very quiet area particularly in the evening with a few places to eat on the street and several more about 10 minutes walk. Multiple repeat visitors to not only this hotel but other Hotel Monterey locations have always had a great stay. 7 eleven and a coffee shop only metres from the hotel. A great spot to retreat to after a day of over stimulation around Tokyo.
