The staff was incredible. Accommodating in every way. They have staff that are fluent in English. The dinner and breakfast gives you a special taste of Japanese cuisine. Everything was clean, from the private rooms to the Public Bath. And although the location of the hotel isn't right next to the port or near the main streets, I think retreating to a quieter location is a plus! Also, their shuttle service is very convenient! I would highly recommend this place for a stay!

My husband and I stayed in these traditional Ryokan, it was a great experience to feel the traditional Japanese culture. The room was spacious and beautiful with the sea view, the environment was peaceful and charming, you could see deers walking freely in the street. The staff was really friendly, kind and hardworking, they picked us up from Miyajima port and dropped us there. The food was very traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast, all very good cooked and good quality. However, just to mention if your palate is really western you might find it a bit intense. We enjoyed all of it and onset it was nice but small.

Lovely traditional Japanese room overlooking the ocean. Our dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We really appreciated the shuttle service and especially liked that they came and picked up our luggage so we could explore the island before checking into the hotel and kept them after checkout and brought them to the ferry terminal when we were ready to leave the island.

Really lovely and attentive staff. The pick up of your luggage from the seaport was excellent as it allowed you to sight see for the day before they collected you to bring you up in the evening time for dinner.

A unique opportunity to taste some serene atmosphere and sample Japanese cuisine. The room overlooked the small beach, staff was very attentive and polite.

The view was amazing, the dinner was very varied and tasty, it had around 10 different small dishes with different types of Japanese foods. We also went to onsen that was clean and enjoyable. The shuttle bus was very convenient - hotel offering an evening ride to see the Torii gate lighten up and the we went there again in the morning after checking out and once we were done sightseeing hotel delivered our luggage to the port and we went back to mainland.

Service was great from the start we spotted the shuttled bus near the ferry terminal and so getting to the hotel was easy. On arrival we really liked the no shoes policy and attentiveness of the staff who greeted us and provided slippers. Staff at reception were also really helpful and arranged for our luggage to be transferred to our next hotel in Tokyo. The public baths were lovely and the traditional Japanese room was great. We particularly enjoyed the Kaisekei meal which was provided in our room. Whilst we didn't partake the hotel also runs karaoke in the evenings. Finally the best part of the hotel is the location and being able to see Miyajima after the tourist crowds have departed!

Amazing experience in a traditional style with a modern comfort. The hotel is located in a quiet place ~20 mins walk from the ferry port. It may sound far but the hotel provides the shuttle bus as often as you need. We were prepared for the ryokan rules about the shoes, so it wasn’t a surprise for us. The traditional room is very beautiful, clean, looks better in real life than on the pictures. Nice view from the window, I even saw an eagle on the tree. The hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful. Usually the staff set up the bed after the dinner but they set it up for me when I asked for a day nap. The dinner and breakfast servings is extraordinarily. Nice choice of exclusive souvenirs, especially loved the Momiji manju cookies, the ones from the hotel are MUCH better than the ones from the shopping street. In general, I highly recommend to stay here at least for 1-2 night for better exploration of Miyajima without rush.

Amazing location on the water, very clean and traditional Ryokan which is perfect. Food is so good (many new things for me). True attention to details is awesome, the service is a top notch. The driver is such a gentleman. Do yourself a favour and rent a bike at the property. Onsen was also very much appreciated. A++

It was all very good. They already indicate that the beach close to the hotel was not the best for a bath.. and they are right. Water is not the cleanest one for z bath .

First, the staff was absolutely marvellous. They even responded very fast to the questions I had thru the app related to the typhoon. They have been super helpful . Further, we booked a Japanese style room w dinner and breakfast. I absolutely recommend this experience at least once in Japan and this hotel was the best choice.

We were disappointed that our exceptionally beautiful meals were served with very cheap, disposable chop sticks. Bathroom is very outdated but still very clean and tidy. Towels were old and very thin

Beautiful room and location. View from our room was sensational. Excellent service. All food and meals were exceptional. Attention to detail was very high. Onsen was very well equipped & clean. The Island is very beautiful and in my opinion a must visit if you are in the area.

Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Japanese experience. the very spacious tatami-room with a magnificent view of the sea, the traditional Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The free shuttle service to and from the port of Miyajima is excellent. the Onsen are large and very clean.

There is a hotel shuttle but it only runs until check out at 10am back to the ferry port, it’s a fair walk to shrine etc and only one taxi on the island

We wished we stayed longer, one night wasn't enough!

Staff were incredible. Food was amazing and staff were able to accommodate a food allergy without any issue. View from the Seaview room was stunning! Yukatas are provided and you can even wear them outside for a stroll which we loved. Free shuttle bus service to and from the port. Free coffee in the morning until 9.30am

Very nice Hotel, the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The breakfast and dinner served were very delicious, fresh and full of variety. The hotel was seperate from the tourist hotspots, so we had our peace and quiet but the shuttle bus made sure we could always reach the hotel / the pier in a couple of minutes. All together a great experience.
