We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

New ZealandCouldn’t get breakfast any earlier than 7.30 am so missed out on probably a very good meal, we had an early bus to catch, so not their fault.
Room was spacious and over looked the lake, beds were king singles, dinner was a Japanese style and our very first so didn’t know what to expect. The staff very attentive and couldn’t have been any better. Onsen was also our first experience. Great effort.

United StatesThe beds were not very comfortable and the bathroom had a odor. We felt like the room was a bit prefabricated and bland although it was spacious.
The hotel was located across from the beautiful Chuzenji lake with very convenient public transportation. We were able to walk to the famous Kegon waterfalls and enjoyed the quaint small town vibe and amazing scenery, especially on the windy bus ride down to main town to visit the UNESCO sites. The half board breakfast and dinner were delicious! Staff was friendly and helpful.

The room had a nice view of the lake. The onsen is small but nicely kept, and the outdoor pool was great! The food is delicious and made with local ingredients. The staff was always very helpful and friendly.

United KingdomThis hotel is fantastic. I wanted to see more in Nikko so decided to stay over for one night. This hotel is up the mountain by the lake and within 5 minute walk of the main bus station, and about 10 minute walk from the waterfall, so a very convenient location. Rooms were huge (especially compared to city hotels) and with the view of the lake. Very quiet at night so great night sleep, bed is very comfortable and the room has live tv. Staff were super friendly and happy to help. There is a small onsen on site but we didnt use it. You do need to be naked for it. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both were amazing. Proper traditional Japanese dishes. Dinner had a few courses, each one explained to us and tasted amazing. Very talented chief! Breakfast was buffet style with traditional tofu, really good also! This surprised me because we stayed at an onsen hotel with similar style dinner/breakfast arrangements before and food was nowhere near this good!

Wonderful hotel in front of lake Chūzenji. The staff is extremely helpful, the onsen is great, the kaiseki dinner you can order is a blast - plus, there is a great “homey” feeling to it.
