Here To be honest, aside from the cool room and great location, the thing I would mostly remember from this stay is the person at the reception who looked unhappy or annoyed when we arrived with our child. Our daughter was talking and having fun in her stroller when we arrived, but the receptionist's face did not look welcoming at all. This was not just on our arrival, but each time we passed by the reception, even when my wife was going out or in with our baby. Overall, our stay was cool, and we had a great time. However, unfortunately, this is the thing that we will remember most vividly from this experience.

The room was very spacious. It had a "big" balcony with a table and chairs outside. The bathroom had hot water and a nice view. The room itself was also very nice, with a TV, Bluetooth speaker, and instant drip coffee ♥️. In general, there was nothing to complain about, except for the almost non-functioning air conditioning (very, very low fan) and a loud fan located in the ceiling, which was very loud. I couldn't find a way to turn down the ceiling fan.

The facilities were older and not as clean as I would expect. It didn't seem as though the comforter had been washed between guests / it was stained. The buffet had a lot of options, but it didn't seem that hot items were kept as hot as they should be.

Location was great! The onsen was clean and had clear directions for non-Japanese speakers. The staff was helpful. The provided robes at the entrance were fun and well utilized by guests.

Standards have really gone down . Rooms dusty and dirty. Buffet was cold and because of limited staff was not replenished and a smaller variety of food. Have stayed here before and definitely not worth the money charged

The staff didn't realize that the tatami setup was missing which is where the 3rd person sleep. The staff kinda scrambled to make it work but it seemed like there was some internal communication/confusion as to how many people were staying in my room which I communicated in advance to the hotel with my booking. The front desk manager resolved it quickly for me though.

Quiet and tucked away from the busy touristy street. Nice onzen tub on the balcony.

Room was dirty and on site baths were closed for men by the time of our arrival so we never got to use them. Staff were non existent, I never saw a soul after checking in. On-site amenities were minimal compared to other 'resorts' I have been to.

Although there's a lot of options for dinner and breakfast, I feel the taste of some food is bland compared to other hotel (or maybe it's only me)

The bathroom is very tight, only fits one at a time. There’s no room to put anything. The tub doesn’t drain quickly, and overflows to the drain in the middle of the bathroom. The room we stayed in was supposed to hold a maximum of 4, but I don’t think that’s doable. It was barely workable for the 2 of us. The room has a Japanese low table, and it has a dual purpose to be a bedroom as well with futons. But it felt too uncomfortable to sleep. No electric outlets on bathroom. And the bathroom is where only mirror in the room. Do not use the self laundry machine on the 1st floor, it was just one machine there, my washed and dried clothes came out smelling a little mildew. And the inside of the machine had the same smell.

The hotel is located in about 15 min walk from the ferry arrival station. It’s a small island so it’s walkable to all the attractions easily. They provide 2 bottles of water.

Outdoor pool was closed and very dirty. Outdoor public bath for women was also closed. Property is generally a bit tired and not as clean as most in Japan.

During breakfast, when certain food was finished, it wasn't replenished. Cleanliness of swimming pool. Hotel could do with some renovation but still comfortable.

Walking distance to Tori gate and central street/shore. Choice/variety of food (especially for dinner). Pool (though very small and not the cleanest but nevertheless very appreciated during August!) Size of the room! Very comfortable for 2 of us, could accommodate even more of us

The building was very old and needs maintenance: wallpaper peeling, dusty ceiling, a pipe busted above our room and we were not able to be relocated. Staff did not seem surprised, acted like it was common and not urgent.

There was a cockroach in the room. ): We were able to catch and release it but it gave me a little scare and made me worried for the overall cleanliness. The beds were also a little hard. But I would definitely still return!! I understand that in extreme heat it is hard to keep roaches out.

I loved the location and the price, and the private onsen inside the room was absolutely lovely. The staff was super nice and I loved that everyone took their shoes off inside. The room was so cute and it was so conveniently located! There was free water and there were vending machines on the property.

Facilities felt dated and not clean. Robes were provided in the room but they felt old and not very clean. The facility felt understaffed. Bins near vending machine were full of rubbish left with extra trash left next to the bins before we left for a stroll in the afternoon. We came back a few hours later in the evening and noticed that the same bins had not been cleared and even more rubbish was just left in a pile next to the overflowing bins. This was a little off-putting in a Ryokan/Resort style accommodation where shoes are to be put away at the lobby.

Room was very spacious and outdoor private onsen was nice. It was only a short walk to the food stalls and shopping street.

No tattoos allowed in the onsen which would be understandable for less of a tourist destination, but with most of the patrons being foreigners I feel they should be more understanding. We paid for this hotel for the onsen and couldn’t even go in. The hotel had the wrong information in some of the books (times that things close).

I really liked the breakfasts and dinners. Yukatas were cool. Nice game room. Nice little shop that has microwave meals.

Upon check-in, noticed mold/mildew in the soaking tub room. After contacting management they were quick to send someone up the room to clean it up. Also noticed a lot of dust in the room.

It was located in a great area! The Japanese dinner and breakfast buffet were outstanding!

charged double the original price to add two people (kids) to room. It was partially my error as I had thought I had selected two adult and two kids when I booked and though I had booked a room with a separate bedroom. I don’t know how this happened! when we arrived we were told we had to pay over $600 to add the two kids to the room. Then they were not able to accommodate with extra futons, we used blankets and had to ask for additional sheets and blankets to ensure they were somewhat comfortable. it was difficult to try to negotiate with very poor English spoke but we and the lady who served us did our best. She was very polite. There seemed to be a manager who she had to ask at every stage of my questioning but he stayed out the back and poked his head out very briefly without acknowledging us at all. It was pretty disheartening to pay that much more for one night when we didn’t have any meals there or use facilities.

Hotel room was dusty in some places. Looks like the wardrobe top hadn't been cleaned in months and other shelves were dusty. Pool was closed, health spa area also closed, and private baths currently under renovation. Couldn't open or close our shower door. Staff couldn't fix or move us to another room, so told us to shower with the door open.
