Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOur family of 5 loved staying at this property. The location was excellent and steps from a subway station. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The location had a lot of interesting shopping and eateries walking distance. It's right near the kitchen street which is full of shops of kitchen and restaurant products and great knife shops. We all purchased a high quality knife to take home with us.

United StatesLoud upstairs neighbors walking heavily around at night but that's the way it is sometimes. We didn't do anything about it.
We stayed here for our last 3 nights in Japan. We had a deluxe family room with tatami mat area. It gave the 4 of us enough room to spread out a bit after traveling for 2 weeks. Great location for getting around Tokyo. So close to the subway. Nice having a washing machine, although it took me a while to figure out the translation of using it. Great kitchenette area. Loved having a little fridge and freezer. Great price for the space. Luggage storage after check out time until we needed to go to the airport. Happy to use the loaner umbrellas for our last day. Very friendly and helpful staff.

United StatesLobby area a bit cramped, 1 elevator to serve 8 floors of guests, elevator rug a bit dirty (but the rest of the place was very clean).
Spacious room with queen bed and with separate tatami room for extra 2 beds (mattresses on tatami mats), perfect for our famiily of 4. Nice to have washer/dryer in room. Kitchenette was convenient. Very close to Tawaramachi subway and close enough (10 min walk) to Asakusa subway. Hotel is conveniently located within 5 min walk of Asakusa area of restaurants (near the ROX store), yet in a quiet area.

CanadaOnly con I can think of is that property only has 1 elevator and can get very busy in the mornings.
Very clean. Gave us free upgrade to a bigger room. Reception staff very knowledgeable; helped us with forwarding our luggage to airport and next hotel. Reception staff all spoke English very well. Amenities were nice as well. Shower was great. Washer and dryer worked like a charm. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped with everything you could need.

United StatesThe smell of sewer gas was quite bothersome. We had to run the ventilation at high power the entire time we were there. The first night we developed a headache from the smell but running the ventilation helped somewhat. The smell in the toilet room was persistent and the ventilation didn't help. The motion sensor light by the front door was also bothersome. The light was constantly turning off and on.
I liked having an in-room washing machine and dryer. It took some time to decipher the settings as everything was written in Japanese, but between the hotel's instruction card and our translator app, we managed to get the washer/dryer operating. The close proximity to a subway station was very handy.

SingaporeIt is near metro substations but to go to Tokyo central you need to change trains and it can be quite a travel. There are no major malls nearby.
It is one of the better hotels in Japan. If you are looking for a hotel with more than 2 beds, a washing machine, a microwave oven, a toaster etc, then look no further. It is value for money. Check-in is a breeze. The only gripe is its location. Everything works in the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to find them using a Panasonic nano hairdryer. The detergent is free upon request and the Sharp washing machine can wash a maximum load of 2 kg. There is an electronic stove too. The TV broadcast mainly Japanese programs. The beds and pillows are comfortable though.

Spacious and comfortable! We stayed in room 504 and there was more than enough space for a family of 4. We actually got lucky to be upgraded to this room - thank you Kokohotel! The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay - kitchenette with a convection stove, fridge, microwave, toaster and cooking/eating utensils, a dining area good for 6 people, separate toilet and bathroom. It also has a washing machine with a dryer! There is also a tatami area that can sleep 3 people and 2 beds just outside that could fit 2-3 people. The room lets you in with a code so no lost key problems! The location is not the best but it is convenient if you are traveling to Shibuya - it's just one train ride away so no transfers needed. There is an elevator 1 min walk from the hotel that will take you down the subway Tawamarachi station - extremely helpful if you are traveling with young kids in strollers. There is also a 7eleven convini just 2 mins away.

ThailandNothing in particular about the property itself....just that while the location is close to the subway station, future guests (who come with big luggage) should be aware that the exit nearest to the hotel requires a walk up quite a number of stairs (no escalators/elevators)...Still, problem solved if you use the slightly further exit with an elevator, located on the opposite side of the road and crossed the zebra crossing back to the hotel side.
Perfect location close to Tawaramachi subway station...a great base to explore Asakusa and Tokyo. Smooth check-in (with complimentary Genius upgrades to a better room!) Very spacious suite with everything we ever need, even a washing machine and kitchenware (induction stove/microwaves/ utensils). Staff followed up very well with our requests and even offered to set up extra Japanese-style futons in addition to the available standard beds.

We booked the family apartment, and it was really spacious for 3 adults and 1 child. The location of this hotel is perfect. Only 1 minute away from Tawaramachi station (Metro Ginza Line), 2 minutes away from 7eleven, and 3-5 minutes away from restaurants. if you walk around 10 minutes, you'll get to the famous Senso-Ji Temple.

MalaysiaRoom service is not everyday. If in need of trash bin to be cleared, need to request for bags from the reception and put the garbage bag outside the room to be collected. Not an issue, but is something to be aware of.
The property is very close to Metro Subway - Ginza Line, that connects to Shibuya and Ginza. Hence provided many convenience for traveling. Also, 7-11 is within walking distance to satisfy daily needs on snacks and drinks. Room is very spacious, comes with a huge dining table, kitchen, fridge, microwave, oven and washing machine. Very clean and neat setup, good for short stay that feels like home.

We stayed at this hotel twice: for around a week at the beginning of our trip while in Tokyo and another two nights before leaving Japan. During our stay in Tokyo, we extended our stay twice and got upgraded rooms, so we had the chance to stay in three types of quadruple rooms; both the standard and deluxe rooms are spacious and very well designed, and the superior rooms are a little bit less comfortable to host four people. All rooms were well equipped, with a washing machine, dining area, and hot drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful (they did some research for us when asking "Where to eat curry?" and kept our suitcase for three weeks while we traveled the rest of Japan. The hotel is a two-minute walk from the Ginza Line station, which is very convenient for reaching other areas of Tokyo. It is also very close to a 7/11 store (there is a smoking area in the store, which is very helpful to smokers) There are many restaurants of all types, bakeries, and cafes within walking distance (between the hotel and Sensō-ji temple). It is not far from the Asakusa station if it connects to Narita airport.
