Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanThere was one concern: I noticed a device that I initially worried might be a peephole camera. When we inquired, we were informed it was meant to connect a phone to the TV and could be used as a remote control, though it no longer functions. I recommend placing a sticker with an explanation to avoid unnecessary worry for guests. But, overall the place is very good!
We enjoyed a good breakfast with a convenient lunchbox, making it easy to have a quick meal on the go as we were in a rush. The bus driver was very kind, and the overall service was excellent. The biscuits served during tea time with coffee or tea were delightful!

GuamThe robots were fine to an extent but when you have issues the ai can't help with or there is no option for the issue, then it's almost as if you are a burden when calling on actual staff member. I also was not happy about not being able to rent extra pillows; you are only given one pillow. This was also the first time that I have encountered a hotel not having the home delivery service available. The hotel also had a flier about being able to order Dominos pizza delivery but they could not help you order if you did not have a Japanese phone number, the phones in the room don't call out and online ordering was not option since it also requires a home address and phone number. It was a big tease for us that the opportunity to order pizza delivery ...the staff also could not help us with it either. 😟
I appreciated the meal and snack services provided. The ambiance and dinosaurs as the front desk staff was something different. And our room had an iodizer machine in it.

IrelandThe room is misleading if you are expecting to see the room full of dinosaurs book other hotel. It was a bit disappointing because when you book it look like you are getting a room with all the dinosaurs.
Perfect location for Disney sea! Front staff were great and spoke several languages ;-) although one of them looked sleepy at the beginning. Service and deliver of the keys were top.

United KingdomI liked there was a disney shuttle but it is 1st come 1st serve and this was fine the first day but we wasn't lucky the second day- the bus doesn't take many people and there's only 2 a day I think it was. Don't flop down on the beds like we did after a long day. They are HARD. Although I did sleep well despite that. The breakfast is included but as a vegetarian I just had rice as I wasn't sure weather the vegetarian curry was made with pork in the sauce or not but most people were tucking in well
My main reason for choosing this hotel was for the dinosaurs. They were great! Had no problems checking in at all which meant I didn't see any staff in the hotel so I can't review the human staff. The dinosaurs were good fun though! In the evenings there was complimentary alcohol in the restaurant to make your own drinks (spirits only) 2 washing machines and dryers on the main level and soap built in. Rooms were clean and although small there was still enough room to open and comfortably maneuver around 2 large rucksacks and a disney haul Very close to the metro- 3-5 minute walk and it takes about 40 minutes to reach the centre of Tokyo depending where you're going of course. Public transport to get to Disney was quick and easy to do. Powerful shower

United StatesA little far from Disneyland but they had a shuttle bus in the morning and evening.
I was checked in by a dinosaur! And when I had more questions, that the dinosaur couldn't answer, a human was dispatched immediately. Happy hour had a full bar. I don't drink but they had all sorts of Liquor, I don't know if they had beer. The other people seemed happy.
