I would like to start a meal with a coffee or tea first instead of waiting for a cup of coffee after I finish off breakfast.

I chose american breakfast and it was delicious. However my coffee wasn't served until I asked the staff two more times.

The property was perfect for my partner and I. The hotel was located conveniently in front of the Hakata Station which made it easy for us to travel the area by train. Further, the staff were so welcoming from the moment we stepped into the hotel reception. They kept our bags for us while we explored the area the afternoon we arrived as we waited for our room to be ready. The facilities were also excellent - the outdoor pool was superb - very clean and a nice environment to relax and read a book by the water.

Just a little qualm but not a dealbreaker by any means: 1. The hairdryer provided is the same as what I get at those really cheaper business hotels like Sotetsu/Best Western. Its like everything that Miyako has to offer is elevated then there's the hairdryer breaking that pattern. 2. No washing machines available within the building itself.

Location wise it's right at Hakata Station/Bus Terminal, doesn't get any better than this. Rooms were spacious and facilities and in-room amenities were fantastic, even the room slippers provided were so thick and fluffy. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and I slept well. Had such an enjoyable stay. Basement has maccas and there are konbinis nearby incase of any hunger pangs.

Some of the in room fixtures, such as the shower did not seem to be befitting of a hotel of this standard. Pool and onsen were crowded, many guests did not have proper onsen etiquette

The room could be a bit larger (esp travelers with large luggages).

The hotel is conveniently located just in front of the main station (even with direct access!!). The staff is helpful, rooms are clean and nice. Excellent traditional Japanese breakfast. Very nice rooftop pool (heated), great at night.

The room was lovely and beautifully appointed. It was also so clean. The hotel amenities were great and there was a lovely rooftop pool area, bar and restaurant. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is superb, right near Hakata Train Station which was so convenient for getting around Fukuoka.

Tedious check in experience. I can understand that the hotel wants to discourage guests from crowding the lobby prior to check in time. So they’ve stationed staff on the first floor to simply ask guests to come back later. Sadly these staff cannot speak English. I wanted to be sure that my luggage and parcels had arrived as I forwarded them. But despite explaining twice, the staff could not understand me. All the wanted was for me to leave and come back at 3pm. I insisted to get up to the reception and make my inquiry there. But was also met with difficulty as the female staff could not speak English. Repeated twice and she even asked me to come back later, claiming my luggage has not arrived when I told her my air tag has already confirmed it has ARRIVED TWO DAYS AGO. only upon my insistence that my luggage is in the hotel did she attempt to locate it. And she actually located my luggage and parcels. But it took so much insistence before she went to locate them and bring them to me. The hotel is new, with great amenities and perfect location. But the entire experience was marred by the horrendous check in experience by staff that simply refused to listen to the request.
